RV Camp Suggtions around Burley Id. 84 hiway area?

Any suggestions for two nights stay around the junction of 84-86 in Idaho in the first week of May 2020. I guest Heyburn is the nearest City references I have. Was thinking of Castle Rocks State Park but, It is approximately 50 miles off of 84. If I can find a nice place a little closer in the area and save 100 miles trip off of 84 so be it. But if Castle Rocks State Park is the place to be and place to see we are willing to do it. Note: Headed to Heber City, Ut after that. First time on a long RV and don't know the good from the bad RV camps are. Don,t mine State and county parks either. Sometimes quite off the main road county RV sites are clean and nice, but some are like down town Portland, Oregon homeless camps. Retired now and trying to slow down at 63. I willing to give a hand up but not a hand out for the rest of ones life. If someone is physical and able mined I say; no workie no eatie, Veterans First are on my list to help out. Yes I worked in 20 minus degree weather for months on end and nothing was ever just given to me.

Propane Tank Gauge,recomendations please

For my two propane tanks I can not tell how much gas is in each of the tanks. These are large/ heavy tanks, back inside a pull out tray on the side of the 5th wheel. Is this brand a good one, Astor Pressure Propane Tank Gauge? Don't want to have to unhook the tanks, pull them out and take them to be refilled if they a near full or run out in the middle of a trip.

Finally we have time for a short vacation for a week starting Nov 13. Recommendations please for the night around Roseburg OR and than to Brookings, Oregon for five days. 34 foot fifth wheel. Hopefully there is a RV camp not right next to a noisy major freeway or a Casino parking lot.

RE: All trailer lights flash when let off brake pedal

I hope this saves you hours of trouble shooting. See below. I have a 2017 Ford dually with a DRV 2010 5th wheel, LED lights and disc brakes. If any of you have or know of anyone having a problem with your truck display saying, “Trailer Disconnected or Right or Light Turn Signal Failed”, here is the solution. Purchase a Curt LED Electrical Adapter, part # 57003. This will save you many hours hunting for bad grounding problems and days at your truck dealer. Ford service techs, service managers and the national Ford rep could not come up with a solution. Over several months I read different forums on this issue, talked to Hydrostat the brake controller company, working with the Ford people, RV service shops and contracting Dream Suite RV tech service support several times. Also changed out the trailers cord cab and spend several days checking wiring connections, all the ground connections and tapping and drilling better ground connections. Finally called Dream Suite RV tech support one more time and talked to a service tech who has had customers with this very issue. Some trucks “Ford” just do not recognize RV’s with LED lights/brake set ups. Purchase this cord adapter, plugged it in yesterday and no more Trailer Disconnected and Signal Failure Messages. This very simple Curt LED Electrical Adapter # 57003 save the day for me. Please pass the word and help others. History: When I start to pull out of my yard the truck dash reads out that the trailer is disconnected. Also when I turn the left and right turn signal on when driving the truck reads out that the signals are failed and the truck dash right or left signal flashes rapidly. I have hooked up to different trailers, have the ford dealer check the sockets, changed out the trailer 7 pin connector. I have hooked up to different trailers, checked the connections on the trailer and truck to the best of my ability. Only when I connect to my DRV 5th wheel I am having a disconnected trailer reading. I am an electrician. Most RV shop that I have contacted say that I am having a bad trailer grounding issues.

Ford Dually Rear Tire Stems hard to get at. Suggestions?

I am having a hell of a time getting at the valve stems to inflate my rear tires or air checks on my dually. The inside tires are the worst. What suggestions do you recommend? How about any of these kits? RE: Toledo Bend, LA

If you are talking about Bend,Oregon at the State Park you better make reservations 6,9 or 12 months in advice. Also make sure you get the right size of spot of fit into. They have a RV site at Sister, Oregon which I think would be better for a day or so.

RE: reservations

To us Old Guys, I just turned 62 this summer. I live about five miles out of Salem, in the country and hate the big cities also. Just retired this summer and drove from Salem to Portland for work for 24 years. I find it very hard to find a nice RV site that doesn't seem to be like camping in down town Portland or like at Detroit Dam. Maybe it was a big mistake, but I bought a used 2010 Mobile Suite 5th wheel that is right at 34 foot long. The guy before me payed over $110,000 for it and I got it for $34,000.00 in very good shape. Note; I have a very old 24 foot 5th wheel before. The wife and I like quiet camp grounds and one of the best we camped at for over the past 20 some years is Clyde Holiday just out of John Day. Prairie City, Oregon, about 15 years ago had my favorite RV site. But now the RV park looks like a homeless camp were people camp fully time. Get the feeling your a Walmart parking lot. We been trying to only go camping in the off season, after mid September to miss the crowds. Like to do more camping now that I am retired but been unable to find any smaller camp sites that have water and electricity in eastern Oregon or anywhere these days. Stayed at Wallowa Like last September and had to make reservations 9 months in advice and was lucky to get a spot. Like to stay at smaller places in the woods but were do you find them with water and hopefully electricity? Do you have any suggestions? I just might have to buy a camper for the back of the truck with generator, but that might not solve the problem. PS: If you are going to stay near Salem at Silver Falls State Park or at any of the coastal parks you better make reservations 9 months to a year in advice.
