RE: roadside assistance for Diesel Pusher

Hello Colo Native, We sincerely apologize for the frustrating experience you had when calling in for assistance. We set a very high customer service standard and always want to make sure we are providing that across the board. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Thank you, Good Sam Customer Care Team Too little to late. I was basically told thats the way it is. Ironically you just randomly change to suit you and not the customer.

RE: roadside assistance for Diesel Pusher

Go with someone else GS sucks. I have used or not twice and they were horrible, The first time waited 4 hours in a metro area and the 2nd they kept changing the tow distance from unlimited down to 26 miles. Turns out no one could tow it when the air bags would not fill. Check your insurance they may have the coverage you need.

RE: Solar install on Winnebago roof

I put solar on mine and DID NOT use screws, only 3M tape and the proper caulking (Winnebago use silicone based products). Winnebago runs a number of channels with wire in them in the roof foam so you run a chance of getting a screw in one. The wood up there is only 1/8" so it won't hold much. JMHO

RE: Air Bag issue

If it is indeed an airbag, you can raise the coach with a bottle jack, and make wood inserts to put into the suspension. The weight should go across the grain. Use treated lumber. Disconnect and plug the airline to the height control valve. If the coach has a tag, it will need support also. It will ride like a wagon, it will get you out of SD. Have you actually done this?? There is no height control valve that I am aware of.

RE: Air Bag issue

Since you did not list the make or model/year its impossible to help you. If the bag will not hold air, no you can not inflate it. You do not have to get it ready for winter yet. I assume you check or had it checked and the bag was the issue, not a valve or air line/connector. It's in the sig 2015 Winnebago Forza 34T

RE: Air Bag issue

Why not just call a local Firestone shop and see what they have available? There is a nationwide shortage.

Air Bag issue

I have a huge problem I had a rear air bag fail to inflate and hold air, I ordered new rear bags but they won't be shipped now until Sept. 30th and my rig is broke down in South Dakota and I am in Colorado, so far the place I was at in SD has let me keep it there till the parts come in well they were suppose to be here today (**** Covid). Is there any way to inflate the bag and keep it that way so I can bring it home? Or am I screwed. If not I have to drive up there and winterize it too.

Another GS roadside FAILURE

Had an air bag failure while on a trip called roadside assistance and they found no one around to work on a diesel as far out as 55 miles or a tow, so I said I would call around and see if I could find one and would call back if I needed a tow so she said she would keep it open. Well I called to get a tow and the guy on the phone said I could only tow 36 miles then a minute later he said 26 miles. I told him I have Platinum coverage which is unlimited miles and he still insisted on 26 miles well the call ended there. This is the 2nd failure I have had in the 2 times I called them. Well as soon as I find another Roadside I will cancel this and I am sure I will get a hassle with the refund. I will NEVER recommend Good Sam for anything. Marcus you should change the name to BAD SAM. Now I know I will get the standard response from corporate, and we will see.

RE: RV Magazine

The second is as bad as the first, If I wanted to cook I would get a cooking magazine. I want to know about RV's not cooking. I most likely will not renew. Wake up Marcus and put the right stuff in!
