RE: TV connection from front TV to bedroom class A

We have the Hopper 3 and 2 wireless Joey's. One Joey is in our bedroom and the other is in the den/bunkroom/office/cat room/guest room. I can take the wireless Joey and TV out of the combo room and set it up outside IF I want to watch TV outside.

RE: Recent cost to install solar by an RV tech/shop???

My signature says what we have. You can PM me for more info if you want. But I won't post a price on this forum because I know what some of the know-it-alls will likely post in response. The 8 panels are 4 series, 2 parallel.

RE: Looking for Route MI --> Pheonix

:D;) Arizona doesn't allow Michigan residents into the state. Especially UM fans.

How do you unsubscrbe?

RE: residential fridge

Wizard, shore power goes through inverter to breaker panel. Inverter can limit shore current, but unfortunately only on Line 1. Yes, fridge has its own breaker. The charger part of the inverter has only been turned on once, that was after 2 solid days of rain when I had to run the generator.

RE: residential fridge

Our fridge uses 15ah. 15 AH would be 360 AH per day - Roughly the capacity of 4 large deep-cycle batteries. Check our signature. We have 618ah of batteries plus solar. Fridge overnight consumption is about 180ah give or take time of year and daylight hours.

RE: Cost of EV Batteries

I wouldn't consider an EV until range is vastly increased and charge time is vastly decreased.350kw chargers can do the job in 10-15 minutes, if your battery can take it. They're getting better. Level 2 chargers work on campground 50a service. Our range is 656 miles - towing our 42' 5th wheel. :C

RE: Cost of EV Batteries

We're fulltimers towing a 5th wheel - so an EV is out of the question. But even if we weren't fulltime, I wouldn't consider an EV until range is vastly increased and charge time is vastly decreased.

RE: residential fridge

We replaced the 18cf Norcold with a 20cf Whirlpool. The RV fridge was tight going out the door as was the res fridge going in. We removed the steps and backed up the pickup to the door to help the transition. To answer the inverter question, we wired our 3kw inverter direct to the breaker panel and the inverter never gets shut off. But we could always shut off the fridge breaker if it was ever necessary to conserve a few amp hours. Our fridge uses 15ah. Edit: I should add that we are fulltimers.

RE: Best Hitch

The Hensley Trailer Saver BD-5 was recommended by someone on this forum (thanks to whoever it was). We bought it and couldn't be happier. But like other posters have said, I'm sure there are a lot of great hitches out there.

RE: Oklahoma dry camping on US412

Thanks. Not sure where the state park is but we found an Elks Lodge in Woodward.

Oklahoma dry camping on US412

We're looking for a couple overnight dry camping spots between Guymon and Tulsa on US 412.

RE: Predator 3500 genny LCD readout not showing AMPS

Voltage is important to watch. If the current gets to high, the unit will shut down. And if the unit shuts down, reduce the load and restart. Simple.

RE: jackknife sofa removal

We had a 2019 Forester 27' Class C. I removed the U shaped dinette and installed a power reclining theater seat myself. The theater seat just fit thru the door with the seat backs and arm rest covers removed.

RE: Are RV sewer hose supports necessary?

I bought a 10' length of gutter (about $6) at a local hardware and had them cut it into 4' and 6' sections. I lay one or the other or both on the ground if a puncture might occur. And I put a block of some sort under one end if I need to create a ramp.

RE: 7 pin and Furion camera

Camera power is provided through the trailer light circuit.

RE: 7 pin and Furion camera

If the trailer lights are on, then the truck is not the issue. Your signal could be too weak.

RE: 7 pin and Furion camera

Is the monitor not working? Or the camera not displaying? IF the camera, did you turn on the pickup lights?

RE: More on LFP Charging

I'm set up the same way while plugged in. On my Go-Power inverter, I can adjust load share but it only monitors and limits line 1.

RE: More on LFP Charging

Nice chart, Itinerant1. My daily use is around 220-250ah. But we have a 20cf res fridge. When boondocking, we all have to conserve water including taking navy showers. But DW and I don't have to conserve electric other than how long the A/C runs.
