RE: Big truck passing

Getting pushed around just part of the game.my 389 Peterbilt will get pushed around every so often when somebody passes me going a lot much faster. If I start to get pushed into the emergency lane I just put my foot all the way the floor and pull myself out of it, works in the motorhome too that I have

RE: Updated and solved...Door lock Trimark 30-1050/030-2650

Hey Gjac I was pretty disappointing too especially with the cost of the darn thing. And I do push on the door before unlocking it, but it's a good tip for somebody else to see

RE: 6 liter V8 Chevy Vortec question

As a GM guy the biggest thing on any of LS base motors is to get the computer reprogrammed and get rid of the torque management. You'll be like why the heck wasn't this done from the factory in the first place.H ad a 6L and a 3/4 ton you put your foot into it and get the 4,000 RPMs and watch the motor pull timing and drop RPMs plus and it shifted kind of soft. Trust me look it up on the GM forms you'll see that reprogramming the computer is the best thing since sliced bread on those things, especially turning off the displacement on demand that doesn't do anything but ruin a motor

RE: 80's Chevy G van propane tank

Hi Lwiddis. Honestly I haven't taken any measurements. I was hoping someone on The forum had a g van at least up to a 95 since it's the same body style, I need/prefer pictures cuz I got to make sure that I can still fit the second battery in there when I get that done to it, that's another story but that was on the frame rail underneath the driver's seat. It was a diesel only but the majority of the holes are there to put one in. But mainly it saves me trouble if someone has one and can tell me what size the tank is gallon wise and I can figure the rest out, same with seeing what the mounts look like

RE: Updated and solved...Door lock Trimark 30-1050/030-2650

Updated and solved. I tried The Coachman route and they say go to their suppliers. So I sent one off an email that's closest to me which was I think Sacramento or Fresno. They never replied. (Coachmen didn't reply about the receiver hitch either). So just by luck I saw RV lock keyless handles had a deal on refurbished ones. Their website showed a picture that matched what I had on that RV. I think it's called the class A Class C lock. I paid about $154 instead of 260 plus for it. While it fits there is a little bit of shaving of the deadbolt I had to do to make it lock properly. But besides that it works great finally glad to have this over. Thank you all that replied and contributed to this post I hope it will help somebody else out in the future. I will leave a link in the post under this one for the lock

RE: Updated and solved...Door lock Trimark 30-1050/030-2650

Hello Gjac, What failed? I have no idea. Its missing parts for one and the handle lock no longer works/missing. Only the deadbolt works. I can only open the door from the out side. This was my Grandfathers, so Im not sure what happened. Im sure he told me but it was more then 5 years ago. The Rv sat for that long and am wiping it back in to shape

The second one has more information, but it still doesn't tell me where to buy one or if the other model 060-1650 will fit in place of a 030-2650. The joys of rving right. I do thank you for looking also. second set of eyes always helps

RE: Updated and solved...Door lock Trimark 30-1050/030-2650

Enblethen. Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately that website only shows the t507 or the number trimark calls it is a 060-1650. If I knew for sure but that would fit I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

RE: RVing in the winter

I just did this for Thanksgiving in a Coachmen Concord 275DS. Went to Great Basin National park. Baker,NV was the town i stayed in, was in the low teens at night. Now the Concord in no 4 season coach, but did just fine with some planing. Heavy blanket over the cab, and a heavy blanket over the big rear window. I did run a 1500 watt heater up front just to help but it was not really needed. ( dry camped on the way home almost just as cold, coach heater was just fine) I have heated tanks and they work, but the gray is on the passenger side and its drain is on the left. so the tank was good valve was frozen.

Updated and solved...Door lock Trimark 30-1050/030-2650

Edit for clarity. 030-1050 is the original door handle/lock. Trimark shows 030-2650 as its replacment. unable to find either for sale on the internet. Good day every one. Its be sometime sense I've been on here. (2010 is my last PM I found) Ive looked High and low for those lock in the Subject matter(30-1050/030-2650). This is for a 2004 Coachmen Concord. I can find 060-1650 all day long same with T507. Google shows everything but want I need. Will/does a 060-1650 fit a in the spot for 30-1050/030-2650? Thanks for all you assistance Doug
