RE: Anyone order a new Ford 7.3 gas?

RE: Shore power plug conversion?

:S Wow, I converted from the old snake in the hole cord to the twist lock and love it. Haven't had an issue in 8 years on the straight out plug in. But would also look into a 90 dog bone if it bothered me.

RE: V10 Eng, desperate in need of help

Yep, I would also think some type of soft code would be in the computer. My experience is that the best bet is the Ford Stealer for looking for the codes that places like ORilley's can never pick up. What a bummer.

RE: Airbags?

last set of firestones I installed came with a "T" for plumbing both bags into one air up fitting which i installed adjacent to the rear license plate. I see no need to have them filled separately and don't subscribe to that urban legend of the air transferring from one side to the other when cornering. Two decades, two F250's, nary a problem.

RE: RV Anti-freeze question.

I think you should have a cold one and not get into the ozone layer. Relax, I am leaving my antifreeze in till I see what happens down the road.

RE: Stainless steel screws

I have replaced a lot of rusty screws with stainless and gun the hole full of silicon (color or clear your choice) and never had to look back. if you are allergic to silicon use the sealer of your choice.

RE: New Truck 4x4 or 4x2 ??

I was totally surprised at so many practical responses. I ordered my F250 back in 2012 with 2WD and a locking 4.30 diffy and will never look back. I could give a flip about the ole resale line, however it is easy to see that I am not a trade aholic.

RE: 5th Wheel Crushes Truck Follow Up

Lot of hoop a laa. Kinda of an expensive commercial? I do not do a pull test but do check the jaws on my Reese classic. I also have one of those Butch's Services bars that slides in behind the king pin.

RE: Towing with Hemi 6 speed manuel

had automatic diesel before and just hated the slippage in the torque converter I don't understand this concept. Maybe autos slipped a lot back in the 70's before lock up converters. Was your diesel of modern day technology?
