RE: Hot water tank not working on 110 VAC

Dutchman beat me to it. This guy had the water heater not working on his list for warranty work at the stealer. I asked if he had flipped the rocker switch on and got the deer in the headlight look. Sure enough we went outside so i could show doubtful Thomas what i was referring to and sure enough again the rocker was in the off mode. :R

RE: Time to prepare for winter

I may be wrong but it looks like a two legged squirrel had something to do with that photo. :h

RE: Concerning Slide Noise

I got one of those slides that Scott referenced. I would probably panic if it stopped groaning and carrying on. :R Blasting (squirting is a better word) some lube on those rollers does help.

RE: Urgent Need of Advice re Winterizing!

Don’t forget the outside shower. It was the black tank flush that was my demise. :S

RE: Wiring a ColemanMach Thermostat?

Well won't go into the reasons, but we did not make the get away and the camper is back in the barn. I needed to get this Tstat install sorted out. So I dug thru some old notes and some head scratching looking at the previous wiring job. Soooo, on this Laredo the four wires in the bundle coming from the air conditioner worked out to be. Green - low fan red - compressor white - high fan Blue - 12V - (ground) The white and red coming from the heater were Red - 12V + white - heat So hooked them up accordingly and all is well. Thanks all.

RE: Champion 2k in storage for three years. Advice starting it?

my champ 2K had a fuel shut off and also a carb drain. I would checkey checkey for a fuel shut off being close and then open the carb drain and see what runs out.

RE: Water heater leaking from side or bottom?

ronnie has the solution. You gotta get the old unit out of there and get a fan in there pronto.

RE: How to add bleach to fresh water tank

:h I think Dutch went into hiding after that thought. ;) So what is to preclude just pouring it into the filler hose, reconnect and let her rip tader chip? Try it you may like it, let us know.

RE: Experience towing w/ 2WD F250, 2500 or other 3/4 ton

i ordered the F250 because 2WD was one of the things I wanted. I don't understand the OP thinking that he will get stuck once in a while. I stay the heck off of slick roads because I have that option. Been running 2WD since 1999 with nary a problem. I am an on road kind of guy. I also do not worry about value. I paid less to start with and am hoping that I can find a dumpster big enough to toss this thing in when i am done with it. :B

RE: mixing NLGI2 grease with multi purpose grease

his thread got me to thinking tat maybe I should service/lube my trusty Reese 15K. Dayum, I had to use a brass drift and two pound hammer to knock the tilt pin out. So it is all taken care of now. hope it works with lube on it. :R

RE: Campground washroom needs GFCI

Since we don't have a clue as to whether that circuit is protected or not, why not just have a cold one and let her rip tader chip. :W like mentioned before there could even be a GCFI circuit breaker in the service box.

RE: Wiring a ColemanMach Thermostat?

On edit: You reference Yellow, Green, Blue, White, Red, and Gray going into the the existing t-stat. However, you say the bundles have red/white and blue/green/white/red. There's a yellow missing somewhere, which I suspect is an oversight in the second bundle... No oversight. The yellow is not there. i am suspecting that the bundle that was run from the ac to the stat was not "standard". So i don't know which wire is substituted for the yellow. And labeling on the mach is not the same as the hunter. So at this point I am throwing in the towel and looking for a mobile tech when I get to the east coast. :S

Wiring a ColemanMach Thermostat?

I have to replace my Hunter. It will not remember the cold setting it has been set on. I have an RV Comfort.HC Coleman-Mach Thermostat. Colors of the wires coming out the back are: Yellow, Green,Blue,White,Red, and Grey Two bundles of wires lead to the opening in the fifth wheel. One bundle has a red and white in it The other bundle has a blue, green, white, and red wire in it. I bought this TStat a long time ago based on a post here and have since misplaced/lost instructions. After finding a loose wire,I really thought I would not need it but the Hunter went south again today. i have went nutso on the YOUTube site this eve. I would be thankful if someone could tell me what to wire nut together or point me in the direction of where to get that info on the internet. It is gona be at least a week and a half until I am in an area where Mobile techs will be available as a last resort. Thanks in advance. I found out the function of the TStat wires by color: green high fan grey low fan yellow compressor red 12V DC pos Blue 12V DC neg white heat
