RE: Heading to Mt. Rushmore

I'd suggesting taking the bus tour of the area which includes Crazy Horse and a lunch. Also, do you know what movie was shot in the Badlands area?

RE: Sanitizing Waterlines

It would not hurt to pour a little clorox into the end of the supply hose that you use at the campground to sanitize it when you are sanitizing the system. As you have read with these responses there are many ways to RV...

RE: Kitchen faucet issue - Integrated flex copper supply line

I don't like what you have now because if there is ever a problem with the supply line the entire faucet has to be replaced. If you try to attach a supply line and accidentally twist the copper it's all over. I'd much rather have the short inlet pipes which are very sturdy. I agree with the idea of buying what works well for you above the sink. The below stuff is one time. The above stuff is every day.

RE: Sunnybrook Edgewater 2009 Roof

You might ask this question on the Sunnybrook users forum at www.myrvtalk.com. Sunnybrooks were pretty well made. I walk on my roof all the time.

RE: Atlanta

Popular topic. Search this Forum for `Atlanta' then search the results for `bypass'.

RE: Maiden voyage is over and I got christened

50 feet of drain hose? What's wrong with this picture. I've never used more than one section... If there is no closer sewer I'd look at one of those systems that breaks up the `stuff' and pumps it thru a smaller hose. Valterra makes one but there are others.

RE: What brand of 5th wheel cover to purchase?

We have used a Sunshield tarp for many years replacing them every 2 - 3 years or so. Search this Forum for Sunshield for details.

RE: Caravan Tours to Alaska

While your are waiting try searching this Forum for `Alaska' then search the results for `caravan'. There are two sides to the caravan issue. Those that want all of the planning work to be done by others for a fee and those who think they can do better on their own. You'll read the details in the search.

RE: Boston

Take the bus tour. Normandy can tell you where to pick up the bus. After taking the tour some years ago I would never recommend driving into the city.

RE: Camp site width?

12 feet ought to do it.

RE: Iowa to Fort Myers, Fl route

Just did a similar trip and I would definitely try to avoid Atlanta. Between the traffic and roadwork we estimate we lost an hour going around Atlanta on I-265. I would never never recommend going THRU the city. Do a Google Maps search and route down I-65 instead of I-75.

RE: De winterizing

I pour 3/4 cup bleach into the supply hose then pump both the freshwater tank and water heater full of bleach water, let set for at least three hours, then dump. If you dump overnight you don't have to drink so many beers. Then fill everything with fresh water and run as previously advised to get the bleach/pink stuff out of the system. For those who use air does the pump and accumulator (if used) get all the water out?

RE: Caulk Cleaner?

Awhile back someone suggested Awesome but I haven't tried it. Thought about painting ours. Haven't done either.

RE: Leaving camper in florida for summer

If you are not going to run the A/C I'd consider covering the rig with a Sunshield tarp silver side up just slightly larger than the roof dimensions or even larger if you want to cover up some windows and leave them cracked. In the off season my wife and I fold it up accordian style (think sailboat sail) and pack it away. Haul the whole thing up onto the roof and unfold it for storage. We've used these tarps for all the years we have had our RV.

RE: What do you two do?

We are bikers; Schwinn not Harley usually about 25 miles per day. The rest of the time we watch TV and rest.

RE: things to do Vegas in June/July

While waiting do a Google search for `las vegas tourism'. For about $100 each you can take in a show.

RE: FL to Yellowstone 10 weeks out west what to do?

Check out Adventure Caravan's tour of the Great Western Parks to see what they include in their itinerary that takes the entire month of September.

RE: Camper Cover

Get a Sunshield tarp a little larger than the roof area and let it drop down the sides. Hold it down with bottles of water or boat fenders.

RE: Glacier NP red bus tours

Depending on the time of year as I remember the Red buses were open so cold in the fall and hot in the summer. We took the native american tour in closed buses with A/C. Can't remember the name but they picked us up at St. Mary's CG on the east side.
