RE: Bike trails

There is a book called Florida's Paved Bike Trails. We have a couple of favorites: Withlacoochee State Trail and the Pinellas Trail. We stay in nearby campgrounds and ride almost the entire length of the trails over a few days. We also know where the good restaurants are along the trails.

RE: West Yellowstone

X2 for Grizzly but did you search for West Yellowstone in the RV parks section?

RE: Front Bike Rack

Assuming it is a 2 inch receiver be sure to buy a rack that has a 2 inch leg not a 1 1/4 inch with an adapter for 2 inch. IMHO the smaller leg is not strong enough. Our bikes in front bounce around quite a bit and we bunge them to the front of the TV. We have a Saris that is not made anymore.

RE: Tire Pressure Monitor with Internal Sensors

We have the external kind with no leaks. Be aware that it may take specially trained personnel to deal with such transmitters when doing any tire work. At least that was required with the original devices.

RE: Trip ideas and suggestions

Do a Google search for `________ tourism' and put the city, state, or area in the blank and read what the specialists have to recommend.

RE: Dewinterization in Campground

After sanitizing one now has a system full of bleach water including the Fresh Water tank. My latest trick is to open the FW tank drain when leaving the campground and let it dripple onto the highway. It's usually gone in time for the next stop/campground.

RE: Upcoming Florida Trip

In Tarpon Springs one of our favorite restaurants is Rusty Bellies at the far end of the main drag. Good hush puppies are an appetizer. In Clearwater you might want to see Winter the dolphin that lost its tail and was fitted with a prothesis. A movie was made about that story. We always stay at the Dunedin RV Resort and have lunch at the nearby Molly Goodheads. Needless to say we like eating.

RE: ROI Converting Fluorescents to LED

Just slightly off topic but I recently installed led strip lights under the cabinets in three homes and the owners are very happy with the results. The produced light is soft and the strips are dimmable. The owners didn't worry about the ROI. They gladly paid the $110 to $150 installed price depending on the length of the cabinets.

RE: Best white paint

Don't have the answer but I would have searched the internet for it where there is a much wider audience than this forum.

We took the Adventure Caravans tour of the Great Western Parks which took the entire month of September starting in Utah. For us the biggest plus was to have the entire trip planned by someone else and designed to see as much as possible in the shortest time period. It also included all of the necessary campground reservations and a `tailgunner' that brought up the rear of the group to be sure everyone made it. The biggest negative for some RVers is the lack of freedom to `do your own thing'. Cost might be another.

RE: I'm looking for some TT advice from experienced RVers

Winnebago Minnie. But seriously how any weekend trips are you really going to make? Is owning a small TT really worth the $$ and effort OR could you rent a camper for those 2 or 3 outings? Or just rent a cabin in a campground?

RE: Land BetweenThe Lakes

If you find a place be sure to hit Patti's 1890's restaurant for pork chops and Willow Pond for catfish or cod.

RE: Central Florida Coastal RV Park Recommendations

Blueberry Hill in Bushnell but don't stay there when we want to go because they can fill up. Red Oak is just across the street.

RE: I'm looking for some TT advice from experienced RVers

Although some may argue the suggestion but Jayco has been around for so long I'd take a look at what they have to offer. Any RV shows in your area in the future?

RE: ? Pot & Pan Set w/Covers

We just discovered that Blue Diamond is the only truly nonstick pan; and we have used the Copper Chef. A set of BD is on sale for $79 at a popular online source or the larger set for $183.

RE: Under 3000, what do you like in a hard side TT

I don't have one but take a look at the Jayco 2019 Hummingbird 17MBS that tops out at 3000 lbs. Some of the smaller rigs have outdoor kitchens which I am not a fan of but this kitchen is inside.
