RE: My campsite map now up to 740 sites

If you ever decide to sell your rig DO NOT share the map with the prospective buyer, as proud as you might be, because it just emphasizes the potential wear and tear that are likely to exist on the RV.

RE: Trip with a 9 year old.

I seem to remember taking our kids, about that age, on vacation and the most fun they had was staying at the Holiday Inn with a pool where they splashed their hearts out. Hint, hint.

RE: Mystery Battery Draw While Parked UPDATE

We had a low draw from our GPS and camera that we plugged into our 12V socket. When it was cold it was enough to drain down the battery so I had to jump start it. We now try to remember to unplug both overnight.

RE: What I like about tent camping

The last tent I slept in it was Olive Drab color; never again.
P.S. you might have to be a vet to understand :-)

RE: Pocket door

Seems to me we had this same problem and removed the door to support the track in the closed part of the pocket. We drilled a couple of holes in the track as far back as can be reached and added screws.
The door hanging by a few screws is under stress due to the bouncing of the rv on the bad roads so this is a rather common problem.

RE: 45ft, would I be too limited?

Do you really need a 45 foot 5er? My stick house is only 30 feet wide. Just sayin.

RE: Planning summer 2022 trip to Alaska Fly/Rent

We took a land/sea (small boat) cruise a few years back. I think it was 10 days. The way to go if you have the money but not the time.

RE: Winterizing black and gray tanks

I usually add one gallon of pink stuff to each tank after all of the other winterizing tasks are completed. It doesn't cost much and is cheap insurance. Valves closed of course.

RE: My water heater drain plug is metal, is that a problem?

Might want to consider replacing the anode rod yearly with threads wrapped with teflon tape even tho the rod itself has plenty of life in it if it truly is rusting.

RE: Replacement Water Pump

Be careful to not get too high a flow pump. The reason is since most demands are small, even showering, the pump can come on, quickly satisfy the pressure requirement, shut off then have to come on again, etc.

RE: Fresh water tank drain.

Don't know where the drain is on your rig but it should be right under the tank. Calls for someone to crawl under the rig and look up.
I vote for an empty FW tank. The pink stuff may be hard do totally get rid of next Spring.

RE: Smaller Trailer - King Bed?

We have twin beds in our 27 foot TT which is the same square feet of mattress space as a king but better because movement is not transmitted to the other sleeper.

Did you use four Command strips per picture? Wood frames plus bouncing puts a load on the strips.

RE: cleaning 7-pin receiver connector on truck

In the old days I used to drill out the female connectors to get rid of corrosion. Also try spraying Corrosion X into the male connectors.
