RE: need advice

Is there no end to the variety of subjects on this RV forum? I would have done a Google search for `travel india by car' to see what came up.

RE: yellow stone np

Mountain Directory West is a good resource for planning the route. Be sure to read all/many/some of the posts in this Forum for `Yellowstone'. One can `do' Yellowstone in one day or spend the entire vacation time depending on your interests and/or abilities.

RE: All Weather Cover For Trailer

Sunshield tarp. In California put the silver side up.

RE: Replacing dinette with free-standing table & chairs

Our loose chairs do not bounce around but they are well built and when we travel they are wedged in toward the table.

RE: Campground Breakers - EDITED

Any way to run the power cord to an adjacent power pole? If the campground voltage is low due to load the current draw of your devices would go up possibly beyond the capacity of the breakers. So it may be doing its job by tripping due to overload. I'm remembering my semester of electrical engineering that Power = volts x amps. The power is what the a/c requires and the volts is the campground level (normally 120 +/- 10%. I'm no electrician but I have replaced c/b in home panels when the breakers went bad. The c/g electrician should have one but a clamp on ammeter is available from many sources for less than $20. It would measure the a/c current but you have to separate the conductors since one cannot clamp on the entire power cord.

RE: Convoy of RV's with a number on the back

Adventure Caravan's uses this scheme. The numbers are a bear to remove after a month in the sun!

RE: External TPMS recommensations?

It's too soon. Most RVers wait until they have a blowout that causes extensive damage to the stuff underneath :)

RE: TT Covers

Popular topic. Search this Forum for `RV cover'. We use a Sunshield tarp as previously described.

RE: Opinion on Resort Fees ?

The KOA on Pine Island, FL tacks on a Resort Fee at check in. This is beyond the cost of the site when making the reservation online. We paid it for a couple of years because we were 1200 miles from home and they were the only CG on the island BUT we won't be going back.

RE: Connecting to the internet

We use the internet service available thru Verizon. They provide a `hockey puck' that works as a `hot spot' which allows one to connect thru it to the internet. It really works well albeit at a monthly cost tacked onto our Verizon bill.

Guess there must be holes in the wall ;)

RE: 6 foot wide pleated blind help

I think there would be more responses with a Google search.

RE: rv toilet leaking??

Another good reason to use the water pump instead of the CG water source. Leaks can be heard when the pump comes on.

RE: Trip from West Coast around the US

This plan reminds me of the visitor from Europe that wanted to have breakfast in New York City, Lunch in Chicago and supper in Los Angeles. That visitor didn't realize how BIG is the US. Adventure Caravans has a guided tour of the Western Parks that occupies the entire month of September and doesn't make it to Yellowstone or the Grand Tetons! I would modify the plan to see the East, as much as possible, in the month or two or three; however much time is available. Next year tackle the Midwest; the next the South.

RE: Water Heater

I thought I responded to this already but don't see the post. We always use propane to heat the water and use the electric as a backup. I have had to replace much of the electric system in our water heater and don't want to subject it to every day use.

RE: Glacier Nat'l Park tips?

While you are waiting for responses do a search on this Forum for `Glacier' and read on. Also do a Google search for `Glacier National Park tourism'.

RE: Bike Racks

I'm all in favor of a 2 inch post on the rack not the smaller size with a 2 inch adapter; for strength reasons. We have a rack on the front of our TV and despite being held down with several bungees our two adult bikes bounce around pretty good on our bad roads particularly at bridge joints.

Was that suggested by a fellow RVer that you had a screw loose?

RE: Can anyone recommend a tankless on demand water heater?

We didn't have space for a Tankless Water Heater to fill our hot tub because the Baby Grand Piano was taking up all the available room.
