RE: Replacement Water Pump

I added a small pressure tank, that way the pump does not run as often, put runs longer when it does come on.
I feel this is much better for the pump.

RE: Truck Battery discharging overnight

Sort of a fix.
Get a Battery Disconnect Switch, and put it on the engine battery, open it when engine is not being run.

RE: New shore service tripled energy bill

We have a pole barn that is far enough from our house that it has it's own electric service. And when you have more than one service on one property you have to pay at commercial rate on one of them.

RE: Tank monitor panel

That's a vary nice system, much better than measuring in thirsts. one third, can be almost empty, or quite a bit in the tank. Also it is not very hard to install.

When you have it apart take a close at the threads and see if they are in good shape.

RE: Small Class A vs Large Class C

We have a 27' Winnebago Itasca Spirit we bought new in 2015, it has a walk-around bed, and one small slide, and a large basement.

RE: [SOLVED] Replacement plug head for NEMA 15A 10 AWG extension

Look closely at the jacket of your cord. All cords, cables, wires, are labeled in size and type, most cords the writing/labeling is molded into the jacket.

RE: How to Install Fuel Pump & Gas Filter for Onan

In our Itasca Spirit, you can't get to the right end of the Onan generator as it is mounted. Hope I never have to service the fuel pump and/or filter.

RE: RV Refrigerators Cooling Issues

We have a class C mh.
I glued a round level next to the driver on the engine cover. And often get the mh level just by moving a few feet this way or that way, when we first park on a camp site.

RE: Dexter Axles

I bought a new tandem axel trailer, and one of the tires was wearing one side of the tread. I found that U-bolts on that end of the axel had not been tightened to the leaf spring and had slid a little on the spring, and had worn those U-bolts. I put new U-bolts on it, and made sure they were tight.
That was 10 to 15 years ago, and I'm still using that trailer.

RE: Leave propane on while driving?

I fixed our mh so I can turn the refrigerator off from the drivers seat, so we can turn it off before pulling up to the gas pump.

RV roof vent cover

We are on our 3rd mh, all were purchased new. The one we have is an 2015, and one of the roof vent covers blew off while driving, one of the other 3 is damaged, the 3rd one does not look very good. We have never had a problem with the vents lids/covers on any of the mh's.
Has anyone else had this problem? Are they just built cheeper?

RE: Hot Water Re-Circulation Pump

Just Tee into the hot water line at the farthest point from the water heater, and run it back and Tee into the input line at the water heater. Now water will thermo-siphon and will stay hot in the hot water line.
To save some L.P.G. turn water heater off at night.

RE: Tire Pressure Monitoring System

I keep it rather simple. I carry a pocket inferred thermometer, and check tire temperature when we stop, for a break.

RE: Engine battery power loss

I had the battery ground cable disconnected and opened the passenger door, and something started chattering, probably a relay. So I put the ground cable back on the battery, and now everything is back to normal.
Is it going to stay fixed? I sure hope so. I'm guessing that it was a stuck relay.
Thanks,
Dusty

Engine battery power loss

Engine battery power loss when not in use. And not plugged in, to 120v.
We have an Itasca on a 2014 E-450 that for the last while the engine battery will run down over night.
When the ground cable from the battery is unhooked there is 0.2 volt from unhooked cable to it's battery post.
This is without the RV being plugged in.
Anyone else had this problem? Where do I start to look to fix it?
Going to put a battery switch on it for now.
