RE: Microsoft mail - Can send, can't receive

What does the return message for your failed email say when it comes back to the sender?

RE: Trying different method of fresh water tank sanitization

Just for the record, the recommended sanitary standard for sanitizing the RV fresh water system is 1/4 cup bleach for every 15 gallons of water. Looks like your formula is a bit deficient in bleach.....

RE: 6 v GC batteries versus 12 v lithium deep cycle batteries

In most RVs you cannot safely just replace your batteries with Lithium batteries. You need to determine if your RV charger will properly work with Lithium batteries. You also are likely needing to modify the way the engine alternator charges the house batteries if they are changed to Lithium. These are considerations the OP needs to make.

RE: RV towing on 5 through San Francisco

My motorhome including my tow is a 60' rig. I am wondering if that is too long to go through San Francisco on State I-5? Anybody have similar experience? As BTP01 has already mentioned, Inter State 5 does not go through the SF Bay area at all.

RE: Maybe a new low?

Seems to me there is a potential liability issue here considering the dangers posed by not engineering a proper safety hand rail. Your wife could have been injured in the process. Wonder how the factory will respond if you do as others here have said and contact them ..

RE: Page Az to Florence Or avoid Salt Lake City.

Jans - I take 126 from Bend to Eugene..... cut up one mile on I-5 to Beltline road and take that around Eugene back to 126 on the west side of Eugene ... (avoids any downtown traffic issues). Took either 20 or 22 to Albany once .... don't recall which one....but had a 25mph twisty windy stretch that wasn't too pleasant. 126 all the way is super easy.

RE: Page Az to Florence Or avoid Salt Lake City.

When we traveled from AZ to Florence, OR we like to avoid California so we took 95 up through Nevada..... and into southern Central Oregon.... so much more peaceful. Several different road options....all are good. Usually we went up to Burns, then west on 20, through Bend, up over Cascades continuing on 126 all the way to Florence. On Edit -- I see you are coming from Page..... not sure, now, how you'd work our preferred route in from that far east....

RE: Replace Coleman Mach 10 A/C with a Houghton ?

Availability is not my issue. Just looking for some reviews from those who actually have experience with one..... particularly if it replaced a Coleman Mach unit.

Replace Coleman Mach 10 A/C with a Houghton ?

Has anyone replaced their original Coleman Mach 10 ND air conditioner with a new Houghton quiet model ( RP-AC3105 )? I'd like to hear how it went, and specifically were there any issues due to size differences on the roof? Ed in Oregon

RE: Problem with AGM Batteries

Sounds about right to me. You could try an equalize charge but probably won't do any good in my view.

RE: Lifeline AGM Disconnected Since 13 March 2020

Two questions come to mind: What is the voltage with a load on the battery ... such as 10 amps..... ? What is its measured capacity now?

RE: toilet bowl water

I never let the bowl go dry...... with water always in it my seals never get dry, which maintains their ability to seal.

RE: Nightmare

I seriously considered buying a hail damaged new trailer. Dealer had it appropriately priced at about 30% MSRP. If I'd had a truck at the time, it would have come home with us. It was all cosmetic damage with the side of the trailer looking the worst of the damage. 30% off is normal for any trailer without damage. He did not say "30% off". He said "30% of MSRP".

RE: How many TT are 7' wide?

I'd hazard a guess that just about anything listed as "ultra-light" is substantially less than 8 feet wide. Look for that descriptive designation.

RE: how long of a 12 ga extension cord is safe to use

Without AIr Condx I have often used 2 50' 12Ga extension cords with no problems on my 30A RV. If possible, you might try using 1 50' 12 gage cord to your RV's shore power cord ... which is 10 gage.... if it will reach.

RE: While using my black tank flush

Appreciate the feedback ... but considering how many different varieties of RV plumbing options there are ... still unclear just exactly where did you put the hose to flush out the black tank .... was it screwed to a dedicated and labeled receptacle for black tank flush ... or something else? We need some specifics , like make / model / year of your RV might be extremely helpful for some of us to try to figure out just what was going on ....

RE: While using my black tank flush

I suspect Chris3403 likely nailed the problem. Easy enough to mistakenly plug the flush hose into the city water inlet if they are close to each other and operator not paying enough attention. Still, since the OP has not responded with more specifics we are all left to just guess how that could have occurred.

RE: Ground wires

I have always thought of ground wires as GREEN. WHITE wires signify a neutral line. Now sure exactly why you have a bunch of any of that coming out of your RV house bottom, but I agree with previous poster.... leave them alone. At least until you know exactly what their function is.. Sure as heck wouldn't recommend messing with neutral wires... which may or may not be bonded to your chassis.
