RE: Are class A resorts just as filled up as other RV parks?

Well thanks a bunch you guys. We are not snobs but do love the Class A resorts such as Bella Terra in Alabama, Petosky RV Resort in Michigan, Solstice in Nevada, Hilton Head in So Carolina and the one Monaco built, Motorcoach Country Club in California. We've enjoyed them all. We've also stayed at Thousand Trails parks and even some sketchy ones. Staying at a Luxury Resort is like going out for lobster dinner. You can't afford one every night but every now and again it's enjoyable. We even spent 4 months as a camp host at one of the above parks. Most who diss the luxury parks have never visited one. Sure, they're more expensive but saying those who stay there are snobby is like judging a Prevost owner as a snob. We are simply down to earth folks who enjoy some luxury in our travels. Don't judge me by where I stay or what I drive.....Dennis

RE: Emergency HELP Please F53 Fuel problems

IMO, you are dealing with a bunch of effing morons. I drive the same chassis as you. It DOES NOT NEED AN AUXILIARY FUEL PUMP. Any fault codes? This is a band-aid solution to fix a simple problem. Chum lee Pretty simple: In tank fuel pump goes bad. Rather than drop the tank and replace it,they bypass it and put on the aux fuel pump. Redneck fix, but effective....for a while anyway. That said, the OP posted on 9/5 and it's now a week later with no update, so I guess he either got it fixed or decided the heck with it and is hunkered down in a campground somewhere, fishing.....Dennis

RE: Turning pivot points for 40’ RV class A

Seat time is invaluable. That said, turning safely is paramount but knowing your air system is right up there with it. Know how to bleed the air tanks, know how your air brakes work etc. Here in America, we are lacking in teaching what we should know before getting behind the wheel....Dennis

RE: Pac Brake Question

Tom, did they upgrade the brake when they reinstalled it? If it's original equipment it's inadequate. On my 96 I changed to the PRXB and what a difference it made. You might consider that. Wasn't too expensive and took me 20 minutes in a campground. Oh! and mine only worked when going down the road, never parked.....Dennis

RE: Need new wiper arm.

Nothing special about a motorhome wiper arm, except the length. That said, they don't have to be 84" long, 28 is sufficient. Any auto parts store can hook you up...Dennis

RE: Jacks Down Light Stays On

Well, my friend, you are certainly in a pickle. Here's what I would do. I'd call the service manager, being super respectful, even if meaning you have to bite your tongue and explain your issue. Based on what you've said, finding the issue is going to involve a lengthy search. I'm not sure what your relationship currently is like with Lazydays but I'd certainly try to patch it up. They messed it up, they need to fix it. There isn't an easy fix here as there's no way to determine what was 'fixed', read changed, on your coach during the repairs. So, your wiring/jacks/relays etc. may or may not be as the factory installed them. I had my coach worked on and they bypassed a couple things to get it working again but other things stopped working. It was a mess to trace down the inept work they did. I finally talked to the service manager, set up an appointment and told her I was devoting the entire day or two to getting the coach fixed and I'd be in their waiting room for however long it took. Then I showed up with all my goodies to make myself at home there. I was out in four hours. Best of luck....Dennis

RE: What The Heck???

WoW, like the saying goes KISS...The house battery cabling resolved. Everything works whether shore power or house batteries; chassis battery is good - engine starts right up. As for levelers turns out i tripped two buss fuses. Levelers operational, generator too! I continue to learn much from your advice - becoming a better RV'r. Now we have to reconfigure our road trip - Thank you everyone! Hurray! and it didn't cost you much...just some grey hairs... :B Oh! and a red spot where you slapped your forehead......Dennis

RE: What The Heck???

Time to restart your thread. Brett asked a pertinent question that needs to be answered first. Keep in mind there are several protection devices on your coach to prevent damage to the electrical items. It sounds like you might have triggered one of these so your repair may be cheap. That said, you must start somewhere. Start by identifying your battery banks. Chassis are your starting batteries and house power most everything inside. You replaced the batteries so let's start there. Take a picture of the cabling on your house and your chassis and post them here. Click the link below, drag the file to the box and post the link. Nothing else has to be done. Once we see what you have, we can offer more assistance. Be patient. We feel your frustration and anxiety....Dennis Click to post picture

RE: Norcold N611 five flashes

Ah! snip/ We will try the thermistor, and then attempt to do the test you mentioned to test the cooling unit. I am not certain on how to wire it to outside 120v power, but my husband might know how to do this to test that. Thank you so much for your help. Your fridge is plugged in to a 120VAC receptacle behind it like your household fridge. Access thru outside panel. Simply plug it into an extension cord. 12ga. preferred. Or you could use adapters and plug the entire coach in, but I'd isolate the fridge for your check....Dennis

RE: Issue with house batteries

Here are a couple links to get you started. Don't be intimidated to ask anything on this forum. We have many knowledgeable folks on here willing to help. Be prepared for some snarky remarks at times, but simply ignore them. There are no stupid or innane questions. We help each other learn....Dennis Some Basics More in depth but necessary On edit: You mentioned a trickle charger that was hooked up. Did you take a picture of that hookup? It sounds like your coach had an "issue" and the PO jury rigged it. My guess has shifted to that being your problem. Perhaps you need to change it back to how it was until you can determine why it was installed. Can you call the PO and ask? That may help you track down this demon.....Dennis
