RE: Beginner Trailer Leveling Questions

^^^^^ Couldn't have said it better. Don't overthink it, keep it simple, learn as you go.

RE: Insurance?

Mine is parked at the cottage and it has limited coverage for damages like falling trees etc. Liability should be covered by your truck insurance when you're towing.

RE: Mrytle Beach Area Rv Parks

Not in Myrtle Beach, not even close but.... This was always a favorite stop on the way to and from Florida, James Island County Park

RE: What gps do you use?

I don't use one,, my phone has "" MAPS"" Lets not get this argument going again. A phone is not a GPS. It shares some features but falls way short, assuming of course that one knows how to work a real GPS

RE: Future Rv technology

As far as the weight scale goes.... once you get the load right after you did it the first time. Do you really need it again.

RE: Hot Springs, AR

A good book to read. Hot Springs by Stephen Hunter

RE: Rant about technology

If it's any consolation, everything at your end sounds normal to me. Been there done that. All this great technology hung up on a spelling mistake. It's the little things that tend to kludge up the works.

RE: Heart health and mile speed

Two years ago we started daily walks, real walking not strolling. We go a minimum of an hour . I did not go on a diet or do anything else. I have lost 50 lbs and feel good. You don't have to do much, every bit helps.

RE: ? Instant Pot Questions

Sometimes it's nice to have extra room, say for a small roast or full chicken. You can always put less in a big pot but you can never put more in a small pot.

RE: What Happened to rvforum.net?

Try a different browser. I never heard of the site so I checked it out. It works fine at this end.

RE: Mobile, bounce-powered bucket washer

A handy hint for the ladies. After hand washing your 'delicates' give them a twirl in a salad spinner. They come out almost dry.

RE: Best Trip Planner?

Anybody else remember AAA Trip Tic and their Motel & Campground books. That's how we started out. We would stop at every welcome center and pick up a road map for that state to replace the old ones. Today that sounds like the old day of treking west in a covered wagon.

RE: Eating roadkill?

I can hear the complaints now. It will be open season on deer, just beef up your front end with a heavy duty brush guard and track'em down.

RE: Snow blanketing the southwest...

Well... Up here the snow is at least four feet deep. Some of my neighbors can stand on the snowbank and look into their second story windows. Been like that for most of winter. Enjoy it for now, the novelty soon wears off.

RE: Start/stop technology

My 2019 CX-5 Mazda locks itself, but that option can be easily disabled in the settings menu. Thanks. Maybe time for me to read the manual huh :)

RE: Walmart changing some stores

Every day I would go for a lunch hour walk. On opposite corners were two guys. One had a hot dog stand, on the other side was a beggar and his dog. I got to know the vendor who told me the beggar made more in a day than he did. I once saw the beggar buying scratch tickets. Can't be too hungry if he did that.

RE: Start/stop technology

My Mazda also locks itself. Unlock the door to get the ice scarper. Try and get back in one minute later and it's locked. Wife had the habit of leaving her purse on the seat then getting out, not anymore.

RE: Dumping grey water in large quantities (500 gallons).

You walked into a buzz saw with that question. We have a cottage on a pristine lake. We use to have a bit of leeway with outhouses etc. A few years ago they caught an idiot who had setup a trailer on his lot. He would dump the black tank into a big beer cooler, drag it into the woods and dump it. That's all it needed. Now, no more outhouses. No more trailers. Full septic with mandatory pumpout every three years. What you plan on doing ruins it for all.

RE: Myrtle Beach

Your first clue was "They allow pets" Not pointing a finger at you, been there.
