RE: Newbie from Alaska

Once you've narrowed down your choices go 'live' in it for a half hour or so. Kick the salesman out and walk around doing what you would do, cooking, sitting around etc. Sit on everything. Lie down on everything. How's the view. Do you keep bumping elbows when you both walk around. Can you function if the slides are in.

RE: Old School RVing

That drive looks like it could really scramble your eggs.

RE: Why did the motorists cross the road?

I remember silverware and dishes in boxes of laundry detergent. You had to buy the jumbo size to get dinner plates.

RE: Frame and tie down damage from unmarked speedbump.

You call that a speed bump? If that hint of a bump caused damage you were obviously going to fast and your truck is way overloaded. Your cracked frame is rusty, says it all. Troll post from the start.

RE: Toronto Canada to Corpus Christi have 25ft travel trailer

You won't need reservations for short stays. Long stays in a decent park will be almost impossible to find. Look around and reserve for next year.

RE: Today is the Day

RE: High Winds on I-80 in WY

Going through N. Mexico in March is no fun either. Pulled off for two days once and only got going again when it shifted to a tail wind.

RE: Holster for .44 Ruger Super Blackhawk on fishign trip

Don't know where you got your info on bears. You only have to worry about bears if you get to close at the town dump. In all my years up here I've come across a bear in the wilds two or three times and they were heading away as fast as they could.

RE: JUst how many GB are needed?

We spend summers at our cottage. The only internet available is cell. We use between 6 and 10 GB a month. Anything over that gets very expensive. Its just enough to live by. No YouTube, videos or huge attachments etc. I get my fill of news everyday, keep in touch with family. My favourite news app for this is called Newsflash. You can set it to text only and have just the headlines showing. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/newsflash/id472447733

RE: insurance company

This should help you make a choice. Basically there is not much difference between companies. https://www.snowbirdadvisor.ca/how-much-does-travel-insurance-cost-canadian-snowbirds

RE: Out of the blue....

I envy them and admire their courage. Our first big family trip was two weeks on the roads of N. Ontario, tenting every night. Great memories.

RE: Terrible Trucks

Would be nice to have a choice. Sometimes all you need is a good hard working 'Farm Truck'. No bells and whistles just power.

RE: Kiplinger: 13 Reasons You'll Regret An RV In Retirement

I didn’t read it all... No mention of the life style, specially in retirement. If you don’t buy an RV do you simply stay at home on weekends? Of course not, you go out and spend it elsewhere. So it’s not about how much it costs but rather how much more than what you would normally spend doing whatever else. Often its not much more.

RE: You're right!

It’s not the same old question that are the problem. It’s the same old nitter natter replies that go on for pages and pages that get tiresome and drive people away.

RE: I have a question too ask

Nows the time to build a financial safety net. Put enough aside to cover at least a months worth of expenses, more if you can.

RE: Best tankless water heaters (LP) 2.5gph or higher

I plumbed a line with a "Y" and valves from the hot water low point drain back to the fresh water tank drain. Excellent post THANK YOU. A problem was fixed and shared.
