RE: Dogs Amazing Sense of Smell

Read somewhere your dog knows you're soon to come home from work when your scent in the house has faded to a certain level. He starts to get anxious after that.

RE: Can I rent your RV?

An RV is not simply a bedroom on wheels. How long did it take you to 'learn' it. All the systems, components etc. You don't pick that up in a weekend, especially if it's not yours.

RE: Olympics......

I stopped watching the Olympics a while back. You seldom see 'live' events anymore. Everything's highlights, cut & paste clips.

RE: How old is too old?

Two things were touched on. Anxiety at the thought of travelling. What use to be a mild challenge now leads to over thinking and worrying. It's just not fun anymore. Physical condition. I can't sit for more than an hour without stiffening up. I can change a flat tire but I need a nap after :) I walk for an hour everyday but hills kill me. Mainly it's overcrowding everywhere, campgrounds & roads. The trailer is permanently parked a the cottage and used as guest quarters.

RE: Canada sizzling!

Finally getting some rain here, an all day soaker. Hope it's not to late for the farmers.

RE: Bike rack

This has been argued to death in the past. It’s not the weight you have to worry about, it’s the swaying back and forth that breaks the welding. If you can anchor the top of the rack to the trailer and stop the sway it should be ok.

RE: Could the weather get any more miserable?

Here in eastern Ontario it's the driest Spring in 75 yrs. The farmers are hurting. Seems like everybody has a garden this year and watering like mad.

RE: Microsoft Office for FREE

Free? Sort of, if you don't mind being the "product" as part of the free data slurping that will happen.. And yet here you are a 'product' on one of the largest 'data slurping' forums on the Internet.

RE: Microsoft Office for FREE

Did you actually read and follow the link?? It includes word, excel, power point, outlook and a few others, all in one tidy bundle. Not for everybody but it's there.

Microsoft Office for FREE

This is news to me. You have to be online much like Google Docs. You use it within the browser but it can create a shortcut to a more finished looking app. They explain it better than I can here.... Office

RE: What Size Telescoping Ladder

Using a short ladder to get on the roof is easy, getting off can be dangerous with nothing to hang onto.

RE: RV travel across Canada during these lockdown times

The Manitoba border is two or three days away from you. The way they've been flip flopping on this you could get caught half way there... Just saying.

RE: RV travel across Canada during these lockdown times

here in Ottawa we have five bridges and two ferries to the Quebec side. The latest news.... Less than two days after the Ontario government’s latest COVID-19 restrictions came into effect, calling for non-essential traffic to be stopped at the province’s borders with Quebec and Manitoba, the Ottawa Police Service has announced it is stopping its 24-hour checkpoints. According to a statement issued by the service Tuesday evening, the around-the-clock border checkpoints were set to end as of 8 p.m. on Tuesday in favour of rotating checkpoints across the city throughout the day until Ontario’s temporary regulations end. This could change at any time. Don't leave home without being 100% sure. NOTE the 'rotating checkpoint'

RE: RV travel across Canada during these lockdown times

Would be best to call somebody official who can give you a straight answer. It's a 2000 mile round trip if you get turned back.
