RE: Dinghy Towing 2008 Ford Edge FWD

We have a 2008/ Taurus X, FWD which Inbelieve is the same as the Edge. We have towed ours, 4 - down, over 80,000 miles all over the country trouble free. Follow the directions in the owners manual when towing. Never had any dead battery issues.

RE: Best RV repair company, roof replacement Oregon

Did you research the Coburg area? There may be some RV repair facilities that are spin offs from the previous Class A manufacturers located there.

RE: Coach Net vs Good Sam

I’ve had good service from Coach Net every time I needed help on the road. Think about these road service organizations. There are only so many service providers out there, in many cases they contract out to the several different companies like Coach Net and Good Sam. So, no matter who you are with, you may have the same mechanic come to your aid.

RE: Avoid drive thru Salt Lake City

Been through SLC many times, both directions, different times of day. I just get in the second lane from the right and go with the flow.

RE: Modern Rebuilt Trans for Towing

If you decide on a replacement, Ford’s HD4R100 is a good one which comes with warranty. In 2001 or 2002 I went to Lead Hill, Arkansas in my F-250 Powerstroke and had Brian’s Truck Shop (BTS) rebuild my 4R100. Leaving there towing a 7;000# TT the sharp, crisp shifts were immediately noticeable. To this day, it is just as responsive. Yes, definitely upgrade ypur transmission cooling and add a transmission temperature gauge.

RE: Installing a slide out room in an existing coach

Possibly HWH Corp. in Moscow, Iowa. I was there one time for warranty work and they were installing a slide out in the MH in the adjoining work stall.
