RE: Grand Design Solitude vs Solitude s class

I had a rear fiberglass cap on my 2011 Cardinal, don't miss it at all on my 2018 Grand Design Solitude. I really like the wide body construction, which is not available on Montana, Cardinal, Cedar Creek, wide body makes a huge difference, especially with opposing slides like I have on my 375RES.

RE: Recommendations for Lake Vacation in Maine

We like the Sebago-Long Lake area in and around Naples Maine. Plenty to do, great boating, places to eat, and plenty of campgrounds to choose from. Another post suggested New Hampshire lakes, we go to Danforth Bay Camping Resort in Freedom, NH and really enjoy that area as well.

RE: shopping for new fifth wheel

We owned a 2007 Cedar Creek and then a 2011 Cardinal, both held up well and were well built with good workmanship. We presently own a 2018 Grand Design Solitude, very happy with this brand as well.

RE: New Englsnd Camping - Reservations necessary?

You should be all right "mid June" but forget about early July in popular rv parks without reservations. If you want a "spur of the moment" "go as you please" New England rv vacation, keep it early early June!

RE: Grand Design Solitude vs Solitude s class

We own a Grand Design Solitude, the new "S" Class is the same wide body coach except the interior amenities are cut below regular Solitudes to lower the price point.

RE: Grand Design Quality

We have been very happy with the customer service at Grand Design, it started when a factory rep called me to discuss the differences between two Solitude models we were considering. After we ordered, he called again to update us on some mid year production changes. Never had that in the previous four fifth wheels we ordered. We were very happy with our 2007 Cedar Creek, and very happy with our 2011 Cardinal, but our 2018 Grand Design Solitude is a cut above in terms of build quality, structural integrity, and overall bang for the buck.
