RE: Verizon's free 15gig

I’m already on unlimited everything with Verizon so I don’t think that affect me in any fashion.

RE: 12V heater run straight from solar panel

I have a 12 V 300 W heater in my rally compartment. It draws 25 A so figure yours accordingly. Electric heaters have a very simple formula. Watts Divided by volts equals amps. Did you buy it online? If so, could you share the link? It came with my motorHome. Sorry

RE: Installing an automatic transfer switch

My inverter contains it’s own transfer switch to operate the coach when the pedestal cannot supply power. That being so, My power cord and the generator are wired just like the transfer switch instructions that you have. You may call me if you wish.

RE: GFI tripping when plugging in to charge batteries

I could not disagree more with the above. Your trailer should not trip a GFCI and if you ignore it, you can easily end up with a hot-skin issue and someone could get hurt or worse. The problem is fixable. (Retired EE) X2. Another retired EE

RE: GFI tripping when plugging in to charge batteries

I agree that it needs to be fixed. I would trust a mobile tech before I trusted the dealer. I can help you over the phone if you will call me.

RE: tax writeoffs for full timers who work from road

Whether you have a home on wheels or a stick house the tax consequences would be the same.

RE: New stereo in motorhome

When mine went out I did a Google search for that very brand and picked up one just like the one that was in there. I can’t remember if it was new or used or recently repaired but it works 100%.

RE: The Coronavirus

Life goes on as normal for me. I figure my risk is about the same no matter where I’m at because we don’t know who’s got it and who doesn’t so I don’t worry about it.

RE: GM said : Hummer EV 1000HP & 11,500 lb. ft. tq. !

I suspect they are using some sort of a servo motor or a hybrid DC motor and they can have maximum torque at zero RPM. Many factory automation machines have those types of motors.

RE: Towing issues with short wheel base motorhome

RE: Thoughts on the 'need' factor of a main line surge protector

One time in my RV park there was an underground fault between two pedestals causing very high voltage on 1 line which resulted in considerable damage to a persons RV. I bought the best that PI Had. I can’t imagine how much it would cost if that happens to my motorhome. It would be one heck of a lot more then the $400 I paid for mine 15 years ago. I have the PT-50c from Progressive Industries. You may call me if you wish. I am a retired Electrical Engineer.

RE: Electric heated water hose

Even though mine has a thermostat I just simply unplug it for the summer. I am 5000 feet up in the mountains and we do need it during the winter some.

RE: RV Loan and Insurance Info

For insurance I recommend that you work with an agent and company that insures motorhomes as a big part of their business.

RE: Propane grill and Blackstone griddle with one 20# tank

Just search for propane hoses. I bought an 18 footer that way. They have all different lengths.
