RE: insurance company

We have been using Travellers Choice(travelinsuranceoffice.com ) for years. Have compared it to others but always gone to this company. We buy 142 day top up to my pension coverage. $99 deductable for $10 million coverage each. 62 yr old female and 69 yr old male with pre-existing & stable conditions will run us about $1550 this year for the 142 days. Others may be cheaper BUT coverage is usually lower... ie $ 5 mil vs 10.

RE: Sights along Lake Superior

The Terry Fox Memorial just before Thunder Bay is a must. If you don`t know the history of Terry Fox, google and read up on him. A truly great Canadian IMO. Here`s just one piece of info... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_Fox Whoops. Not a "clicky" You`ll have to copy & paste!!! Can`t help you with campgrounds as we were through there 10 yrs or so ago.

Major BC Hiway Closure

https://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/major-detours-over-years-loom-on-trans-canada-highway-through-rockies This news article outlines the closure of Hiway #1 /Trans Canada Hiway east of Golden,BC. Will be a MAJOR disruption to traffic flow for locals, visitors and the commercial trucking industry. Already busy alternate routes will become a nightmare, IMO. Heads up to anyone planning on driving in this area and southern BC. Be prepared for lots of traffic and extended delays.

RE: shaw satellite

Shaw no longer supports satelite south of the 49th. The current satelite will shutdown Sep/Oct. We winter in southern AZ and will be going with a "streaming" service that offers 5000 channels at $20/ month + purchase of the equipment. HS Mobile World. Call Bill at 604-510-5040 to get all the info. Others in our park use this service and are happy with it.Bill was very happy to answer all our questions. Won't you also need unlimited high speed bandwidth (aka internet access) in the park you're at? That might add issues and/or $$$ to the project. We have 25-27mbps thru Dish while we are in AZ. According to "Bill" that is more than sufficient and should not encounter any buffering. Other Canadian friends in the same park gave me a demo of the system and they have never had buffering.

RE: British Columbia, Canada

What do you like to do? What are your hobbies? DriveBC website for roads. RV Park Reviews for campgrounds. BC Provincial website for tourist info. Hope is only a 2 hr drive east of Vancouver on a 4 lane hiway. Busy place. At the intersection of 3 busy hiways....1, 3,5.... which take you to different, beautiful, areas of BC

RE: BC snow tire regulation

Proper tires and cable chains for both vehicles will meet BC and state requirements...and they work. Had proper tires and cable chains for my 40` DP and toad. Never had a problem. CYA
