RE: Ozark resort

There is also Turkey Creek campground which is a Escapee's park which is real close to downtown Branson and a very short drive to the strip where the shows are. If you are a Escapee's member cost is very reasonable compared to every other campground in the area.

RE: Roadside Assistance

I received this letter from GS Roadside Assistance dated July 8,2019 and it reads: Notice of Cancellation of your membership which is GS Roadside Assistance to your Platinum GS Roadside Assistance program. In order to maintain quality service with outstanding value. We make assumptions pertaining to the average costs associated with individual memberships and from time to time memberships are cancelled where individual membership costs significantly exceed those averages. Your memberships utilization falls outside our normal guidelines and as such we have cancelled your memberships please refer to the membership and cancellation policy in your member benefit for mor information. I had been with them for 10 years and had used their service 1 time up until recently when I had battery jumps and ending up having to be towed. Their service was great up until this.

Toledo Bend State Park

Looking for some feedback from anyone who has stayed at Toledo Bend State Park. North/South. All information from all who have stayed there will be appreciated. We are thinking of taking our grandkids there for a week and just want some information on folks that have stayed there.

RE: Through Memphis

Try 40 to 540 North thru Fayettville and it will take you where you want to go. Good roads and a nice scenic drive and by the way there is a Pilot on 40 after you pass the exit for 540. Not to far to fuel up and head back to the exit. A couple of things I will tell you is you go in the Boston Mountains and there is a tunnel that you go thru and off the top of my head I do not know the height limit.

RE: cold weather camping

Lafayette is a nice college town with lots of history. Cold weather camping is a crapshoot because you do not know if you will be in a mild climate or its going to really cut loose. Best you can do is find out what campgrounds if any are open and then reach out to them and tell them what you are thinking of doing and then keep an eye on the weather.

RE: Tell me your horror stories (Diesel)

I had a 6.5 Chevy diesel and it was great until we reached 60,000 miles and it started acting up. No one could get a handle on this POS and it really irked me. The truck was bought new and the fluids and filters were changed on a regular basis. The truck took forever to start and after many (3) starters changed, injectors etc. this truck just went into lemon mode. The final straw happened when wife and I were going to visit her parents and the truck broke down in Mobile Alabama during 5:00 rush hour. We were towed to the impound lot next to the FedEx terminal near Mobile Bay and the owner let us keep the truck there until we could figure something out which ended up us buying a Ford F250 7.3 PSD and towing the Chevy back home to Texas. Nightmare for sure and the real kicker is I worked at a GM plant. This is our story

RE: 1999 Holiday Rambler Endeavor 5.9 cummins won't crank.

Keep us informed on what you find. We have a 95 Holiday Rambler that is a battery killer and acts similar to what you are describing
