RE: Ever hear of this camping company? Harvest Host

Have a few friends that have been members for years and love it. They are not retired and a one night stay is all they need. We have alot of wineries that also have venues with bands etc. in our area and a place to park works for them. It's not for us but it's an excellent opportunity for alot of folks. Note: it was only $35 to join when they did, however even at $99 would be worth it for some.

RE: Joined the ranks again today.......lol

Wooo Hooo and Congratulations !! I remember you at the San Dimas Rally long long time ago. Was it 2003 or 2004? I believe you were parked next to us in your TC. Have fun and enjoy your new toy.

RE: Good place for 1 night stop in Yuma or Indio

In Yuma I would suggest Caravan Oasis. We actually stay there on purpose in January and they have spots for overnighters for easy in and out pull thru. Right across from the pool and Laundry if needed. In Indio Spotlight 29 and just run your Genny if you need to.

RE: Transferring fresh water when dry camping

I use a bladder. This one can hold up to 60 gallons and when not in use folds up and takes little room. https://i.imgur.com/cYfbpEbl.jpg Exactly what we have used for years :)

RE: Replacing day/night shades

We had all of ours replaced in Quartzsite the past few years including the awning, slide toppers etc. etc. Shade Pro will come right out to your campsite and replace all. We had the front window in MH done with the electric day/night shades done as well. If you don't travel to Q I believe they are located in So Cal area. PM me if you need more info. BEST upgrade we ever did :)

RE: Replaced house batteries/no power

UPDATE: After checking everything over and over we still could not get the inverter stay running. On one final check of power hooked the ground cable up to the large bolt under the the key switch that shuts off the ground to the batteries and wham inverter turns on lights in cabinet come on etc. Yes the ground key switch was not making a good contact :S We are back and running properly and will be headed to AZ next week !! Thank you for trying to help. (George it's the all in one Magnum inverter. Yep I've turned on the hair dryer with a heater running at the same time LOL Pop goes the fuse) Miss seeing you in Q.

RE: Replaced house batteries/no power

Now just trying to find out where the fuses are. Most of our fuses are at the foot of the bed inside. Problem being the slide will only open off the batteries. On edit: Found the manual for outside fuses :W

RE: Replaced house batteries/no power

Thanks, Hubby is going to recheck the connections then the fuses. It was getting dark yesterday and frustration sets in. Found a few videos as to where the fuses are etc. so that's a good start.

Replaced house batteries/no power

Just replaced all six 6v golf cart batteries on the MHome. Hooked them up exactly as we have in the past. Had power for a few minutes to the house then hear a click and it shuts off. Going to take them all back out again and double check. Any additional thoughts ? Everything worked fine prior to this.

RE: Anybody in Quartzsite?

Our gang will be there sometime the week before and during the show. Don't necessarily plan on going thru the crowds in the tent etc. but outside and A-Z are always good for some walking and of course ice cream.
