RE: leaking grease seal.

Sounds like your $10 grease seal bill may end up way more.

RE: CENTRAMATIC Wheel Balancers

I had them on every Dodge 2500 that I owned. They were wonderful. I regret they don't have a set to fit my Chevy 2500 now.

RE: Space Heater

After all this discussion... the best heat to me is an electric RV fireplace from RecPro. Easy to install, looks great and has good heat.

RE: Space Heater

I prefer oil filled heaters and here's why..... I agree that an oil-filled heater is still around 1500-watts, but when the oil is hot the thermostat will turn the element off and the heater will keep on heating (with the element off) for a long time. It's kinda like a car coasting down a long hill and using very little gas. The time between off and on cycles is way longer than my plain ole electric heater, and that's saving me money. Turn the heater off or unplug it and it will keep heating until the oil completely cools down to room temperature.

RE: Orange County Calif., Loses Another Large Storage Lot

$400 a month to store an RV..... amazing. Our very well secured lot just went up to $60 a month.

RE: How much SOLAR?

I plan way ahead and buy online. If I happen to need more power, my Champion inverter on gas or propane will keep things going.

No thanks

RE: How much SOLAR?

I never thought 100 watts would be enough, but I will probably try 200 the first trip. I can always add more easily. The only thing, I sure don't want to get out at 3am to fire up the champion inverter to run the furnace.

RE: How much SOLAR?

I could put a nice looking ladder/canoe rack on my Chevy 2500 and put all the solar I wanted on it.

RE: How much SOLAR?

I don't want panels on my roof.

RE: How much SOLAR?

I have LED lights and tv, I will try to get the amp draw of the furnace.

How much SOLAR?

Another kinda vague solar question... but it's about the best I can do. If a guy headed to southern Arizona in the winter months and wanted to have enough solar for a TV, travel trailer furnace, lights, to charge a laptop daily, and keep the trailer electronics going.... On average, how many watts would I need? 200 - 300 - 400? I will use 6-volt golf cart batteries. You guys that do it often have some idea on what is needed. Thanks for your help.

RE: Selling my RV advice

I've sold several items on Craigslist and done well. What I learned is if you are not getting any calls, the asking price is too high.

Lightweight RL trailer

I'm looking for a new or used lightweight RL trailer, as I prefer a rear living room with a sofa on the end. Do any of you have an RL model that you really like? Thanks for your help.

RE: Mobile hot spots

I like Visible... a Verizon company. $40 a month (no more) gets me all the talk, text and high speed data that I need. No gimmicks or slick tricks either.
