Really odd water issue

So we are staying in Northern IL, and last night got a huge storm rolling through overnight. Personally, it was the worst one I've ever been in while camping, I was sure there was going to be damage. I was up all hours checking things and making sure water wasn't getting in and whatnot. One time I woke up and my pillow was wet. It's very odd because there are no seams or places for water to come in. Our master bedroom is the front of the camper. I am taller so I tend to sleep with my head pretty much right against the front wall, which is the leading edge of the camper. The wall was damp to the touch, but I could not identify any 'running' water or trail. My pillow was wet and the parts of the sheet that touch it were also. Nothing else was wet - nothing on the floor, walls. . .. like I said, absolutely no place for water to get in that particular spot and nowhere else. We tend to keep it cool (like 70 degrees) at night. All I can figure is maybe condensation from being so close to an outer wall? It has been ungodly humid and hot.

RE: Random a/c issue fixed?

Yes - that is my thermostat. Since I have 2 (probably good) thermostats, my plan is to wire the second one directly to the upper unit if it cuts out again. So far, so good though.

RE: Random a/c issue fixed?

Yeah, Miami is getting a bit too expensive. It was fun but time to slow the pace of life down a bit.

RE: Random a/c issue fixed?

It is a Coleman Mach. It is a digital display - very basic 3-button unit nothing fancy. Sometimes the A/C would shut off and the display stays on and you can just turn it back to 'cool' but other times the entire thermostat would go dark and there is nothing you could do. In my attempts to fix it I replaced the thermostat with another identical unit and it still did it. Also, jumping power to A/C and high fan does nothing (no power to thermostat at all) when it goes totally dark.

Random a/c issue fixed?

I have been having a random A/C problem for the past year or so. A/C will function normally, but thermostat will turn off with no warning. Sometimes it comes back on, sometimes not and you just have to wait until it decides to turn on. It is hard wired - no battery. I replaced the thermostat and did the same thing. We are in the middle of a cross-country move from Miami, FL to Northern Wisconsin, and it has really been acting up. Broke down and called up a service call tech in the middle of Alabama and he found the thermocouple had fallen out and was dangling in the center of the roof unit. He plugged it back in and since then the A/C has not stopped working again. Does this sound legit? I mean, I've got floor issues and other items coming up for the winter hibernation that I don't feel will be cheap, so I don't want to jinx myself that I've avoided a possibly expensive A/C issue also, but crossing my fingers. . .

RE: E vs. D rated trailer tires

I get the same thing in my Excursion. I have 1 ton rear overload springs and with tires at 80 psi it rides great towing our camper. However, after unhooking and driving around 'empty' it is like a dumptruck.

E vs. D rated trailer tires

We are moving back to WI after 4 years of living in Miami and I'm making my list of items to address since my unit is 5 years old. One of those is tires. I still have the stock 'Trailer King" D rated tires, and will be changing them out. What exactly is the rationale behind going to an 'E' rated tire on a camper? Obviously more load carrying capacity I understand, but does it ride harder then too? I certainly don't need more jarring transmitted to the chassis. I feel like if you need the load carrying capabilities of a higher rated tire you might also be overloading the chassis. Is it just higher quality of tire? Kind of like going to an 'F' when an 'E' will do the job more comfortably. Is it just peace of mind / bragging rights?

Missing floor!

Yeah, I know I probably have some water damage from outdoor storage in Florida over the past 4 years. Unit is a 2017 Keystone Sprinter 33BH. Got it to the site a few days ago and I noticed that there is a spot about a foot long and 3-4 inches wide right in front of the couch that I'm sure nothing is supporting at all. Pretty much just linoleum. It's very odd because I always do a step around the entire interior first thing after opening it up, and it has always been solid, now it's not even mushy, it's just. . . gone. I can slide under the unit and push up on the membrane and tell there is something resting on it, bouncing around like a chunk of flooring. Problem is, there is no good place to peel up the linoleum and check it out - the slide out rests right there when extended and covers it completely when pushed in. I plan on unscrewing the membrane and poking around over the winter to see what's really going on in there. I will probably end up rednecking something together, but has anyone else attempted this type of repair from below? I'm going in totally blind, I don't even know where the cross supports are or what shape they're in, or exactly what type of damage I'm dealing with yet. Nothing else feels spongy or mushy anywhere. I have never noticed water leakage, but I assume the intense humidity and torrential rains we get here have taken their toll.
