RE: Anyone use a battery operated blower?

I use a Ridgid 18v Jobsite Blower. It is absolutely excellent. I just got done clearing leaves and pine needles and twigs off a driveway. It ran continuously for 30+ minutes and the 4AH battery was still going strong. If bought at Home Depot, it comes with a TRUE lifetime warranty on both blower and battery. For non-commercial use, if either one fails, they will repair or replace it free forever. They even pay shipping in both directions. LeRoy

RE: Awning Style Solar Panel

I believe that your idea of mounting solar panels to the side of your RV is basically sound. Solar panels are relatively heavy and wind loads can be significant. Personally, I would not trust J brackets. I would use heavy brass or stainless steel continuous hinges. LeRoy

RE: A basketball question....or two

Apparently, the rules need to be enforced per the TV executives' requirements: • Keep the game moving • Keep the scores HIGH • Keep the advertisers happy • Stay within the designated time allotment

RE: "Maybe 550 is not so bad, after all . . . "

I agree with all of you that the driver made SEVERAL poor decisions. However, I would like to diverge from this train of discussion and say that Hwy 550, the Million Dollar Highway, has been and is a beautiful and rewarding drive both with my 35 foot fifth wheel and my truck camper as long as the weather is pleasant. It provides great scenery and gives one an appreciation for the hard work that the original gold prospectors had to endure. Enough said. Now back to the unfortunate motorhome incident.

RE: Happijac question....

Happijac sells leg extenders that would solved the problem of being "over extended". They are 6" tall, bolt directly to the bottom of the existing jacks, and pricey but well made. You could easily make your own to whatever height would be appropriate for your application. Happijac leg extenders LeRoy

RE: Happijacs, what will happen if.........

"Never raise the back of the camper higher than the front". Why? If you seriously have to ask this question then you do not need to be owning a truck camper... PLEASE DON'T BE NASTY TO A PERSON WHO IS TRYING TO UNDERSTAND THE REASONING BEHIND THE STATEMENT! LeRoy

RE: Is Facebook killing this site?

I refuse to be involved with FaceBook or Twitter. I can live without them. X2 Too many problems and too much nonsense according to what I read. I won't visit those companies that require me to go to FB page to see their listings. They miss out on my business. LeRoy

RE: Questions for Veterans

Wear it proudly . A Veteran wouldn't be offended . But a Snow Flake might.:B Please describe a snowflake! FROM: The term "snowflake generation" was one of Collins English Dictionary's 2016 words of the year. Collins defines the term as "the young adults of the 2010s (born from 1980-1994), viewed as being less resilient and more prone to taking offence than previous generations". LeRoy

RE: RV Rebuild Website - Online soon - Input?

How do I determine resolution? "Do you know what res it runs at?" LeRoy Right click on your desktop, no programs open, then select Display Settings" A few items down it will say Display Resolution" My 17" Win 10 laptop runs at 1920 X 1080. This is likely why I had it so far out of whack the first time. It looked perfect on my screen! Thanks, here is what I have: 1366 X 768 (Recommended) and Landscape

RE: RV Rebuild Website - Online soon - Input?

I just opened your webpage on my 15" Win10 laptop and the pics were still out of bounds. It makes it so hard to read that I wouldn't follow the website. On the very positive side, the type face, size, and color selection are very good. It makes reading very easy. Please continue with your good work, LeRoy Thanks LeRoy, I appreciate the feedback. There are some dotted margins for me to follow to adhere to the screen size parameters. When I edited it 10 minutes after posting, I made sure I was within the lines. I am wondering why it is out for you... All I can think of is that perhaps your laptop runs at a lower resolution than most. Do you know what res it runs at? I will do whatever I can to make sure it works on all devices. Hitting F5 will reload it to the latest changes too. Thanks. How do I determine resolution? "Do you know what res it runs at?" LeRoy

RE: RV Rebuild Website - Online soon - Input?

great idea I checked your link from a 27" iMac The page is too wide for most screens I think. Looking forward to following this David Thank you. I discovered that about 10 minutes after I posted this. I opened it on a 15" Win10 laptop and the pics were way out of bounds. I did a quick edit and re-published it. Please check again - it should be better now. Thanks for pointing this out. I just opened your webpage on my 15" Win10 laptop and the pics were still out of bounds. RE: What Did I Do to Break My Generators???

Could something dropped off when you disassembled the AVR? How far can you turn the crankshaft backwards? More than one full revolution? Do they both get stuck at about the same position? My guess is that something (nut, bolt, bracket, tie down wire, etc) is jammed in the stator or flywheel area that allows it to only rotate so far? LeRoy

RE: 30amp to 15amp adapter

That is for a Twist Lok connector. Your RV needs one like this Straight 30 amp female to standard 15 amp male The one you suggested won't work. Many Walmarts have the correct type of adapter but they could be of a different manufacturer. Any of them will work. Merry Christmas, LeRoy

RE: An invalid topic ID or forum ID was passed in.

The Forums are apparently using CloudFlare.com (CF) as a reverse proxy largely for web security reasons. ...and scroll to the bottom to read comments. Thank you for the reply. However the above reference is OVER my head so it doesn't help one bit. I have visited RV.net almost daily for many years and gained a lot of good information. Then I had the issue with my replies going to La La Land (as stated a few replies above) and now this picture challenge is TOO GREAT. I hate to leave but I am very frustrated. LeRoy

RE: An invalid topic ID or forum ID was passed in.

I don't ever have any of the problems you are talking about.... As far as the CAPCHA goes, it's it out of my control but again I can't make it to happen. That seems to come up off and on throughout the last few years. ... Admin I got locked out because of the CAPCHA twice yesterday and once this morning. Some of those pictures that you are suppose to choice from are darn complicated and vague that I can't decide if they are a "bicycle" or whatever or not. I obviously guess wrong and then I have to try again and again until I finally guess right. I am on four other forums daily and NEVER run into this darn CAPCHA. I have the box "Stay Logged In" on all my forums checked. Now this forum requires me to "Log In" just to read a post. When I finally get to enter my password, it accepts it immediately and shows that the "Stay Logged In" box is still checked. What a pain in the fanny. LeRoy
