RE: EZ Pass with and without trailer

In nj, they said only the one tag. It counts the axels. I have used it in ny and pa with no problems with 2 different axel campers. Same here in Ohio. It counts my axles and charges accordingly. I also have used mine in PA with no problem.

RE: Camco Trailer Aid did not aid at all

Tire spacing is why it works on my horse trailer but not the wide stance axles on my TT

RE: Can a generator get rained on?

From Generac website, " Can a portable generator be used during inclement weather?– NEVER run a generator directly in the rain, snow or other wet conditions. NEVER run a generator indoors or in a garage." I believe while the gas engine would be fine, the generator is air cooled with open air vents.

RE: Getting Started - Longer Distance Camping

I would take my dog. I can never recall a dog making excessive noise on a trail. Mine is always busy with her nose buried to the ground taking in all the new scents. I always heal my dog when we approach other people on the trail. While I love my dog I don't assume anyone else does. She loves the adventures and we love having her along. Maybe teenagers and little kids should be restricted also, they are a noisy lot.

RE: Surge protector and water filters

Progressive EMS. Lifetime Warranty, rated for your rv 30 or 50 amp. hardwired or portable is a matter of choice. I like the portable. I don't use water filter since we only shower and wash dishes with campsite water. Not to be a buzz kill but Progressive will almost always come up with a reason to deny claim coverage.

RE: Ev charging in camps expectation of availability, cost

Probably gonna get scolded here but at State parks I just plug into the 120 volt receptical on the power pedestal. Been told I can't have a wheel on the grass but no one ever said anything about the big black cord running to the side of my car. The charger draws less amps then an AC unit which I have only one of. No washer, dryer or dishwasher.

RE: RV Magazine

Hoping it will improve but not holding my breath. No technical section but with the differences betwen MM and TT it just seems like a losing situtation. I will give it till the end of my current subscription and probably drop it after that.

RE: DVD Player Recommendations?

I agree with APT. I bought a Bluray player that I have plugged directly into the TV. If you really want to replace your wall unit you can try here. They are very helpful if you have any questions also. https://www.crutchfield.com/shopsearch/rv_entertainment_systems.html

RE: does a detached over-the-air television antenna help?

Did basically the same thing as Old-Biscuit. I bought 3 peaces of 5Ft 1 inch thinwall conduit and 2 conectors to make a 15 FT mast. I mounted a ClearStream 2V antenna to the mast. At the back bumper I pound it into the ground a few inches and zip tie it to the back bumper. Aim in the direction of the TV towers and pull in more stations then my RV antenna ever did.

RE: Accidentally winterized the water heater

This is what the pink antifreeze is made for. Agree it won't hurt anything but people normally don't put any in their hot water tank. Thats way most have a bi-pass valve for the tank
