RE: Fresh water system

They are not separate systems, just separate sources. The threaded city water 'source' connect to your interior water system between the pump (supplied by the gravity filled tank) and your fixtures, including the hot water system. There is a check valve in the pump that should prevent the tank from filling. Also there is a check valve in the threaded city water connection to prevent water from coming out the side, when the pump and fresh water tank are used. Either one can go bad, in your case it is probably the one in the pump. Ken X2

RE: HOW DOES AAA WORK .. OR NOT

Towing companies sign contracts with a reduced rate from there norm. If they don't have any calls they will come out. If they have full paying customers your gonna sit.

RE: Long Term RV Repairs

While I haven't had an issue with a RV yet, while on the road I have had car and motorcycle issues. I have found repair shops go out of the way to help stranded travelers. In Wheeling WV a repair shop had to get parts from 3 different towns to rebuild my standard transmission. Got me back on the road in less then 24Hrs. Sent him a Christmas card every year. :)

RE: We always unhook, even on an overnight stop

In an Emergency. I could have truck/trailer unhooked BEFORE ambulance even got there So if you significant other cut an artery, you could unhook while holding pressure on the wound until the ambulance got there? Or maybe while performing CPR if it was a heart issue? It's not always as easy as we first think. Hooked or unhooked if I'm supplying emergency first aid once the EMT's arrive and start a transport my spouses needs are being attended to. I can unhook, ride in the ambulance, do whatever. Don't think I want to go through life preparing for the worst around every corner.

RE: Please read the signs....

I'm one of those get over in the right lane unless your passing someone. That said I went down to West Virginia this spring to pick up a yearling Icelandic horse. With horse on board and traveling on a 2 lane windy mountain road I'm doing 40 in a 50 mph zone. After having 1 car stuck behind me for maybe 5 minutes I finally came to a small uneven pull off but feeling sorry for the car I pulled in. At first I thought the passenger was giving me a thank-you wave and then saw it was a 1 finger salute. Still kinda ticks me off.

RE: Bunk house conundrum and older kids

When I was looking to buy my current trailer I too didn't think I had any desire for a BH either. One of my adult daughters came with us trailer shopping one time and was looking at trailers along with us. She convinced us into buying a BH because our grand kids would love it. Both of our adult children almost always accompany us at some point during our trips. The private bunk room has worked out great for us. When we have no guest its also great using it for extra storage. Our adult children are like friends and its great sharing our camping adventures with them.

RE: Leveling and turning on your refrigerator?

It's Norcolds, not mine. Then again they probably don't know what there talking about. :R I don't ever recall seeing "1/2 bubble" on norcold's site. How big is the level? Is it straight or curved? How long is the trailer? 3° or 6° is a measurable and articulatable measurement. 1/2 bubble is a meaningless unit of measurement. A level measures degree of slope, nothing to do with distance. Put a small torpedo level on a 7' framing level and raise the framing level up till its a half a bubble off. The small level well also be half a bubble off. Half a bubble is lees then 3 degrees.

RE: Leveling and turning on your refrigerator?

Norcold recommends that their refrigerators operate within 3 degrees off level side-to-side and 6 degrees off level front-to-back. What does this mean for you when leveling your rig? Half a bubble on your RV level should be good enough for an overnight stay. Might want to check your math and definition. It's Norcolds, not mine. Then again they probably don't know what there talking about. :R
