RE: Gassing Your Gasser

I would suggest that you take advantage of the special RV fueling islands at FlyingJ. We too drive a gasser and refuel at FlyingJ whenever possible. They accommodate our MH and toad quite easily and we're about 63 feet long. Download the Pilot/Flying J app to view locations along your travel route. You even save 5 cents a gallon with your GoodSam card.

RE: Doghouse

Either from below, or thru the wheel wells, or from above by removing the doghouse.

RE: WiFi Camera always late to the action

Ring works great. No delay, videos stored on remote server so nobody can get them even if they get into your house.

RE: RV Refrigerators Cooling Issues

You should not be having issues with your new TT Norcold refrigerator not keeping things cold, quit working and warming up. I would suggest that you get it to a certified rv repair shop for warranty repair.

RE: Border News

Ed Gee wrote:Yes, the effects of COVID on vaccinated individuals are usually minimal....BUT YOU CAN STILL TRANSMIT THE VIRUS TO OTHERS! People keep ignoring this fact.... it is why even vaccinated persons should still wear a mask. Yes but if we're vaccinated, have a negative covid test before crossing the border, and wear masks and do everything every state mandates, what's the issue. And by the way, nobody is ignoring the facts.

RE: Border News

Very disappointing! Even though we're vaccinated, and even if we catch Covid the effects will be minimal if at all, this closure continues. A real bummer!

RE: Ford 460 Engine vibration in overdrive

Check engine light on? Fuel milage down? Could be a bad map or O2 sensor or ?

RE: Flying J Anomalies

Despite the odd issue at a few locations, we still like and frequent Flying J. They are our main go to when in need of fuel. Seldom go near regular gas stations as many are a distance off the interstate and due to risk of damage because of our size/length.

RE: Workhorse W24 (8.1L) fuel filter

The fuel filter W8006889 at Wheeler fleet looks correct. it cross references to the Workhorseparts.com site. https://www.workhorseparts.com/index.php?route=product/search&search=W8006889&description=true The original adapter that comes with the filter should still be in place on your Motorhome? you could just reuse it and buy just the filter? https://www.ultrarvproducts.com/W0013351-Standard-In-Out-Fuel-Filter

RE: slide out

If the slide was working fine and the issue is something new, I'd say that your batteries are weak. Do you still have the original batteries? At 5 - 6 years old they may be toast.

RE: Winter Time Storage

1. Is there any recommendation on how much fuel to leave in the tank when I put it away for winter? Full/Half? Full 2. Is there an additive I should add to the fuel tank prior to storage. If yes, what do you recommend? Add Stabil to the tank 3. My plan is to start the engine of the MH at least once or twice a month. It is stored about 5 minutes from our home. Is that too little to too much? Once a month should be more than enough. Let it run until it's up to operating temperature 4. I also plan on testing the generator at least once a month...thoughts. Run the generator at least once a month. Make sure you run it under a partial load. A 1500 watt electric heater works well. 5. I will winterize the unit and prep it for storage. Thank you for your anticipated comments and assistance.

Could you please let us know the make and model and whether diesel or gas.

RE: new unit alert!

Very nice. See you opted for the recliners. Great option especially with the fireplace and TV. We rented a 2021 Grand Design Imagine 2600RB for 4 months last winter. I was really impressed with the quality of it. Very well built, nice features. Way better than the TT we owned back in 1997! Enjoy!

RE: Maxxair original vs Maxxair 2 - experience

Maxxair vent covers work great, as advertised. We have used them on all of our vents in every MH's since 1996. They have never leaked. I would not own a RV without Maxxair covers. I would highly recommend you put them on all roof vents. A cheap investment for great water intrusion protection.

RE: Can I rent your RV?

Politely say No. No reason needed. If they insist on a reason just tell them that you don't rent out your RV to anyone. Keep it simple. No need to invent excuses. We never rent or loan ours out. Not even to our kids.

RE: Comments people make

Well if you're going to buy a small Aliner camper, then you have to expect most folks to question how it works out for you. I mean they are definitely cute but not for everyone. We like our huge camper a lot! thanks for asking. (Although I would just call it larger, not huge)

RE: Hot water in new 5er Montana

Could be less hassle and cheaper to fix by just calling in a mobile RV mechanic?

RE: Jeep Wrangler ReadyBrake Elite II Setup

Nice set up although personally I would have gone with wireless tow lights to avoid all the extra cables running from the MH to the tail lights. in my experience, the cables rub on the paint which leaves scuff marks.
