RE: Rio Grande Valley

Don't count on it getting better in the Valley as long as illegals are pouring into Texas with the virus and other illnesses.

RE: Dog's Sleeping Quarters

I tried something similar for our Cavalier. He didn't like it because he couldn't see us. After standing on his hind legs, whimpering for 20 minutes, he ended up on our bed. Slept like a baby then.

RE: Off grid for first time, need some guidance !

You are forgetting about the water pump, frig, electric jacks, electric awnings and levelers, and other 'mystery' draws. Plan on always having more lights on (bathroom, etc.) You didn't say if you would be in mountains and if so, you'll run the furnace to warm up. I would say one day and one night and your one battery will be drained.

RE: Pueblos West Co to Dinosaur Co

The section of your route with the most curves will be from Canon City to Salida. Goes along the Arkansas River and is slow and curvy, but a pretty drive.

RE: Article - Best Campground in Every State

I camped at Trappers Lake in Colorado for the great fishing. Unfortunately, the mosquitos were SO BAD that we left after just 30 minutes! Miserable afterwards.

RE: Is Lance the “gold” standard

Check out Bigfoot TTs. They are top quality.

RE: Almost lost reservation in AZ park

Highest bidder takes it! You were buying 3 months; they were buying 12 months. If you own a business, whoever is spending the most money $$$$ will usually get the most attention. Pretty simple.

RE: Highway 66 in Oregon

I've driven it pulling a 29' TT and had no problems. It does get winding and has some steady grade so just take it slow and easy.

RE: North or South from ABQ this weekend?

If you like cool, head north. If you like to sweat, head south.

RE: Sad state of national parks and forests - II

When Donald Trump was President, he donated his annual salary to the Nat'l Park Service. Not a lot of money to the NPS total budget, but nice gesture showing he was aware of their problems.

RE: Forest Service Campground - First Come, First Serve & hosts

The CG Host may have been holding it for a buddy of his. I've seen that before.

RE: Fl to Mo

There is NOT an Interstate Hiway from Little Rock to Springfield. It is a U.S. Hwy.

RE: rv parks

We spent a nice, quiet night at Torrey's several years ago. Nice owners, with a few food items for sale. Other than that, it will be dry camping in many spots along the river or FS campgrounds. None of them impressed us as they were old, with small sites jammed together. When we were there last, most of the campsites had standing water from recent floods.

RE: Amarillo to Red River Suggestions

Bobcat Pass should not be a problem for you. I've seen school buses and 18 wheelers on it without problems.

RE: Altitude and appiances.

We lived at 7600' in Colorado and always camped at 9000' or higher. Never had any problems with any of our LP appliances.

RE: US 36 in Colorado

If you stay on I-25 you won't get to Estes Park.

Another MH con: When MH is in shop, all of your things are with it, including where you live and sleep.

RE: Bypass Salt Lake City Utah

If you take obgraham's route you will have a nice free FS campground at Angel Lake, just south of Wells. You won't be crowded either, as we have never seen more than two other rigs. Just you, the deer, and the coyotes at night.
