RE: Adding a cable jack to a TT

We have a TC, old enough to not have any cable. I installed my own and have the jack attachment just inside the power cable door and run the exterior cable thru the same hole as the power cable.

RE: Oh shoot. The toilet foot pedal fell off.

Our TT came with a packet and in it was a breakdown of the toilet. It may have what you need to know in it. If not go online and give your make and model and it should be there.

RE: Freshwater Tank Backflow out City Water Inlet

Wolfman, on the city water fitting, take out the screen in the fitting, it is in the center of the housing.

RE: Freshwater Tank Backflow out City Water Inlet

The check valve on the city water hookup is cocked to the side or broken. It is the check valve that lets you build water pressure. If you turn on the water pump and go out and look it will probably be squirting water. JMHO

RE: Shrinking trim

I replaced the trim on our TC several years ago, it comes in a roll and is easy to install. If my memory is correct it comes in two widths so you need to determine the width you need and I think it comes in white and a slightly darker color. Purchased it online. Did a bit of measuring and bought enough to do all the TC. Put the entire roll in a bucket of hot water, dried it as I installed it, compressing it as I went. Hope this helps.

RE: RV Refrigerator Losing Its Cool

We have been rving since 1968, we have always traveled with the frig on propane. My opinion (such as it is) 100 degrees temps while traveling will make your frig warm unless it is operating while traveling. JMHO

RE: Water pump

I solved our problem by replacing the divert-er valve. The one you choose for city water or fill the onboard tank. Also found that the original valve was put in backwards.

RE: Gray tank plugged, limited options

Is there a chance you can use a garden hose as a snake and just push it in the drain to the sink, unless you still have the snake. Sounds to me that the pull in the valve has broken or has come unhooked. KMHO

RE: Pilot light?

RE: Rooftop air conditioner filter

We have an AC on our TC and one on our TT but there is no filter on either unit outside, only the foam on on the inside portion.

RE: Step tread adhesive?

The rubber on my step stool that we use to get up on our TC came off just as yours did, I cleaned off remaining adhesive and went to auto parts store and bought some non skid safety tread, cut it to size ans pealed off the backing and stuck it down. Has been on there for 5 years now and shows no signs of pulling loose.

RE: 12V plug on Antenna Booster Wall Plate Constantly Active?

I do not have a class C presently but I have used mine to run my c-pap while boon-docking in our TT. So ours is (hot) without the button being pushed.JMHO

RE: New to RV's but not really

Not sure where you are located but take a look at an (outdoors rv) brand.

RE: First trip a success with the new truck camper!

Do you have a exhaust fan? Some tent campers have found out that if they turn on the fans while dropping the top it helps suck the canvas in during that process.JMHO

RE: Time to hang it up.

Took a camp trailer on our honeymoon, been at it for 50 years come Sept. Plan on a 4 - 6 mo. trip this fall. Will hang in there till health catches up with us too. Sad that you are having to hang it up but always have the memories in the front of your thoughts.
