RE: Quick connect LP fitting won't work with standard gas grill?

I have a Weber BBQ with it's own regulator and I use the low pressure side of the propane from the RV with the quick connect. Works just fine. JimR

RE: Extend-a-stay alternate

I did not use or like the "Extend A Stay" I went to a Home and Hearth store in Oregon where they had a lot of propane stuff. For me they made my adaptor out of a brass tee with the POL fitting on either end to fit the tank valve and regulator, nothing bulky. I would say that a place that builds BBQs and fireplaces and outdoor kitchens may have some thing or maybe Granger. Looking at the photo it looks like the thread on the valve is 1/2 inch IP if so just put in a brass tee. JimR

RE: need 411 on Winegard Pathway X2 PA6002R Wally Receiver

I have just went to Dish an use a Pathway X2 with a Wally bought at Amazon for $369.00 current price is $566.00 so $200.00 is not bad. JimR

RE: A B Switch

I have a Pathway X2 on a Wally that goes through an A B Switch and I was getting a signal dropout. I changed from the switch to the Wally directly and no dropout. But I could have a problem behind the switch so I will bypass the switch this week and connect to the coax that runs through the RV and test it out. My A B Switch is a factory install and is hidden behind a panel with just the A B buttons showing so I am not sure of what type it is. This is a new install and I am still testing the system i.e. what works what does not how far can I run the coax ect ect. JimR

RE: Just an FYI about Dish

It is true that if you want locals at two separate locations at the same time, you need two separate subscriptions. This is not new. You are correct I missed that when I was looking at Dish, if you look at the Dish Outdoors web site it states that you can get locals in nice big print but then there is the mice type at the bottom. RE: Just an FYI about Dish

... I was surprised when I went to change to locals in the RV, after reading and research I thought that the locals could be changed at will in the RV. But you can only have locals in one location either the RV or the home address. The Pay as You Go Plan is where one can change locals..... Found that out when our daughter moved back in with us. Changed our locals to our new RV location and daughter lost locals at home. Had no way of knowing before, and didn’t matter anyway as no one as there. Changed the RV to separate pay as you go plan so I can change RV locals and still keep her happy at home. Yep this is pretty close to my situation too. JimR

Just an FYI about Dish

I recently fired DTV and went with dish, I had Dish installed in a stick and brick and added Dish Outdoors for the RV. RE: Attaching items to interior walls without drilling

I used Command Strips for 3 pictures and so far they work, there is a general purpose Command Hook also. When it comes time to remove ? will see. Go to the web site Command JimR

RE: Adding washer and dryer to FW

Just my 2¢ here I had a washer fail and I replaced it with a Splendide. They issue I had was finding a washer that had dimensions that would fit. The width was good on a lot of brands but the depth was the issue most were 2 inches to deep. JimR

RE: Bear Spray

Why buy local at Yellowstone? What's different about local vs. what's available on Amazon? I would buy in the local area? Because I would be more assured that a local purchase would be in compliance with the area as far as EPA and local laws. Also I would assume that the spray would be fresh, not expired. Bottom line I would trust a local purchase more than an online purchase and I am willing to pay more. When I camped between Cody and the East Gate the forest service came around and warned us about the Grizzly Bear problem that was there at that time. I purchased my Bear Spray in Cody and not sure but I think I got it at Walmart. Also if you go into Canada some of the Bear Sprays are not allowed. Just an FYI JimR

RE: Mobile satellite

Bill.Satellite A quick question: Are you still getting Direct TV DNS? They, DTV, stopped mine and a few bonus channels and any discounts I had for being an AT&T customer. JimR

RE: Mobile satellite

The SD system is $1800 k the HD is &4000 I think those prices are very high. A Winegard Traveler installed is about $2500.00 for DTV and or Dish TV, depending on what service you want. Antennas on Amazon are about $1600.00. I just went through all this with DTV (hours) and finally went with Dish, if I had stayed with DTV I would have gotten a Winegard Tailgater and used my H24 receiver but only would receive SD. I finally had to decide to change or break in the wind. I cleaned up a lot of my wiring in the MH after removing the overhead TV and moving the TV to a dedicated TV stand on the floor. The biggest thing for me was that RG-6 was used to hook up between the old receivers and the TV, but now the connections to the TV from the receivers (DTV or Dish) is HDMI or component and that presented some challenges for me. Good Luck JimR

RE: Changed to Dish

Thanks to all here as I will go to Dish from DTV as soon as I get my Wally and antenna in a week or so. The information on how things work will help me. I was a Primestar customer when DTV bought it a long time ago. JimR

RE: Satellite Finder app for IPhone

Thank You rk911 that looks good. I see you have Verizon I have AT&T but assume that will make no difference. At 4.99 it is not bad I have spent more than that on Coffee. JimR

RE: Satellite Finder app for IPhone

I have a Dish Tailgater and I am trying to find an app to enable my iPhone to locate the satellites so I know where to find a clear path. Any suggestion for a free app that will do this? Thanks the Dish For My RV app uses your phone's camera to show where the Dish birds are. we use it all the time. On the Dish for my RV does will that give you a look at the sky and see the Sats and obstructions? Thank You JimR
