RE: Is Facebook killing this site?

I joined this site a long time ago now. We even used to have rallies of members and meet up kind of an up rally. It was a great place to pass around information. The posts would be 5 or 6 pages deep for 14 das. Now I come back here every so often look around and see nothing has changed and it is dying. I met a bunch of friends on here and many of those have passed too. I know I have owned 6 rvs and remodeled one of the completely and know the systems pretty well. I could do that because of the help I got here and from our FOretravel forum that is still going strong. I wills ay that the groups over on FB have a lot more activity than we have here. So I guess I will just think of the good times and realize this forum is not what it was and it is sad. Heck I even used to chat with Marcus or is assistant in the heyday too.

RE: CARB smog testing motorhomes Every 4months by 2024

Pretty simple for most of the country just don’t spend your money in CA and just bypass the state. I know I will be doing that.

Lazy Daze is closed permanently

Well we lost another quality builder last month. Lazy Daze shut down for good. THe combination of the pandemic and shutdowns with that and the chassis issues and parts issues due to the supply constraints have claimed a great manufacturer. I wonder if they had been in a state that did not shut down if they would have survived

RE: Looking at class c questions on maintenance

If you look up ford truck places they will, sec=rice it but it may take a week to,get you in or longer. Most repair places can handle it they can fit it in the shop. On the road I have never had to,do,an oil change. I. 400k miles of rv travel.

RE: Where have all the members gone on this forum?

I stop in every so often and remember the days of 20 plus pages in the class a group. Now I find I really just look and see nothing much posted. I see the same things over and over on FB. I am the moderator of the Foretravel forum and that is still going strong but sadly this place is dying off.

RE: BORN FREE's Kim Olson still in the RV business?

I would check with motorhomes of Texas. They became a dealer for them or check with Anceria as they two were a dealer. One or the other can source the parts I would think.

OBX NC rt 12

Well this past weekend we had a storm blow the and the island below the Oregon inlet bridge was cut off and also down by the Hatteras Lighthouse as well. we are going on 3 days the place has been cut off so if you are heading there this summer pack extras and know you might be stuck. It was not a hurricane just three days or wind and high tides
