RE: Closer to a head on then you ever want to be...

Got a 3' long scrape on the rear of our mh from an idiot not paying attention and we were on the shoulder when he went buy and that happened in Quebec City a few yrs ago, you must be on the ball all the time to avoid situation's like that can happen in a heart beat, Left the scar on the mh as a reminder to how close we came to meet our maker.

RE: How safe is etransfer - selling big items?

No problem here with the latest etransfer and it was done in minutes, as the money was in the account in less than 10 mins. quite a big one too in the thousands.

RE: Fifth wheel length question

32.5 Okanagan with 3 slides, an oldy but in mint shape 2002, a little heavy but just the right size for long camping or living if it comes to that, all solar and the rest of the electronics, do not have to plug in anywhere.

RE: Black tank flush overfill

And driving down the road for a few miles and the stuff in the tank will be easier to clean the tank, not much sticking in the tank when on the move and then dump and flush, save a lot of water and don't hold people up, Just my thought's after 50 some yrs of camping and travel.

RE: Hwy 5 to little gold and Dawson City

RE: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?

RE: Is it time to "chip" the V-10 in an E-450 class C?

I don't know how you can drive @50mph and not get run over even on 4 lane roads, just pulled my 5th from Regina this past summer and 110kph was about as slow as i could go with out getting run over, so much for that, I have tuned lots of gas engine's in the last 50 yrs and one thing you got was extra power but milage did very little change and those engine's were done by a good engine builder in Selah Washington that are famous for the circle track racing crowd. Just my thoughts but I only pull with an ole 5.9 400hp Cummins that is chipped.

RE: Alaska 22 Prudhoe Bay on Moto, Alaska by class C

All kinds of vehicles go up and down the Dempster Hwy but it is good gravel all the way, would do it again, had the mh and the 5th wheel over the road a few times and no regrets.

RE: Can air system be used to get over low spot in a drive way?

When I bought my Mountain Aire it road like a tank, simple solution was to change over to all air system and get rid of springs, went to Freightliner and ordered suspension from a FL70 and bolted it in as the mh was on a FL frame, added a air pump and tanks and can raise and lower the mh to any position I want, 60lbs in the rear and 30-50 lbs in the front, can raise and lower it about 8-10" differance depending on load or parked and it rides like a Cadilac, no problems in 19 yrs and have only seen one air bag blown in my 50 some yrs driving over the road, they are very tough bag.

RE: Damaged 5er hitch by backing too hard

I never hitch lifting the trailer, most of the time there is an air gap between the wheel and the plate and gently back in and lower the trailer onto the wheel, have never had a high hitch problem doing it this way and always make sure I am straight on for the hitch.

RE: What most Class A Motorhomes are in Australia

RV in the first three pictures seems low to the ground. I like the looks of the RV in the next to last picture. Likely air ride like my 98 Mountain Aire can almost set it on the ground with the air suspension that I changed over too.

RE: Solar install on Winnebago roof

If you can walk on the roof then just screw the the bracket's to the roof, don't have to find cross member's to hold them down. #10 x 3/4 screws is all we used and they have not come loose in 20 yrs.

RE: issues syncing controller

Put the fuse between the panels and controller, if the fuse blows, your controller will be toast because of no where for the power to go from your panels, you have close to 20 amps coming in from the panel's.

RE: Automatic air tank drain valves

Known as a Spitter valve, found on most trucks and can be heard every few minutes, some are electric and some are pressure driven. Listen to them for the better part of my life as I put in 60# yrs over the road.
