RE: Check this if you've bought a used RV recently

The DW tests the smoke detector daily while camping.
As a bonus, it usually means dinner is ready.

RE: Tracking US travelers

Yes and there was 3 US cars at Dutch Lake, Clearwater yesterday, 1 Cal,1 Washington, 1 Oregon so that a far stretch from going straight to Alaska and nothing done about it and a very busy swimming lake with likely 500 people there. Our town has been clean so far but that will likely end.

RE: No trailer brakes

Not all controller's work that way, mine will work standing still or moving, check the brakes with the controller only before I pull away.

RE: Small Dicor

If the tube is resealed properly it will last a longer than a yr, have a tube that was opened 3yrs ago and still good and runny. I use #10 wire to seal mine. The smooth side wire from solar work.

RE: Shark bites for plumbing

Would never use them again, flooded out my mh while winterrising, 2 gallons of antifreeze from one end to the bedroom, many different size's of plumbing in the RV industry, have a friend that had shark bite in a ceiling of his house and the whole ceiling came down, $25000 damage. Lots of fun trying to clean up the mess.

RE: Canada border crossing

Just talked to a lady friend in Whitehorse, and you have to sign your way into the Yukon, not allowed in if you are just visiting but you can go through if you are going to your home in Alaska, everthing like every where else is on a shut down, she has a driving school and it is non essential so no income for now. we had planned to go to her place in June but it is a no go now. Spend most summer's in the Yukon so pretty disappointed.

RE: Canada border crossing

I was told 24 hours from into to out of Canada. I have no idea how that amount of distance can be done in such a short period of time however as long as you don't delay who is going to check?
quote, I think it says in and out of Canada does it not??? It did not say anything about transiting through the Yukon or am I not reading Veebyes response right, Thank You.

From Blaine Washington to Tok Alaska is 36 hrs or 1854 miles so somebody has their head up their butt, not gonna make that in no 24 hrs.

RE: Newmar 2021 model info (a front end diesel?)

Nothing new, My 98 Newmar Mountain Aire is a front engine puller 215hp Cummins and also rides on air with hydro disc brakes, average fuel consumption has been 12.5mpg since day one and that with towing a VW Jetta. and the other thing is you can sit and talk in comfort all day long, very little engine noise.

RE: What can I use to get water out of a gas tank

Big Katuna has it right, welded up many tanks that still had gas in them. would just run the vehicle and put an exhaust hose in the tank.
