RE: Mass. To NJ Tpk.

We try to go a different way from time to time and 84 to 87 would be the best way.

RE: Memphis, TN Campgrounds

Tom Sawyer is very close to Memphis but out of the way, quiet and a good place to relax by the river.

RE: Wet Awming

I thought a Dometic awning was water proof. Ours gets wet every time it rains. Our last one was still good after 7 years of getting wet and I never thought it hurt anything.

RE: Motorized Sun Shade

Our sun shades will go up or down with the key on but don't block your vision. Even if they went down further you can see thru them.

RE: RV Build Quality?

If you buy the cheapest one you can find, the build quality won't be the best. If you don't mind paying for it you can still buy a well built RV.

RE: Should we turn off the water?

We have never turned off the water or the heat, but usually aren't gone for more then 2 months at a time. Someone comes and waters the plants and checks every few days. If a pipe broke the water would run out the basement drain. I think if there was much damage it would be the same if we were home. you really believe if a pipe broke upstairs and ran for 24-48+ hours before someone checked on the house it would simply drain out the basement drain and all would be well?? you seriously have to be kidding us here?? The house was built in 1790 and has wide boards for flooring and the cracks are not water tight. The basement floor is dirt and often in the spring has a small trickle of water running thru it as do some other houses around here. The only pipes upstairs are heat pipes and they won't leak much if you don't add water.

RE: Warany Impact - Full Timing

Even the OP said he was"concerned it is not built to the task". So both the manufacturer and the OP know it won't last long full timing.

Last year I got my brother a 30amp outlet to put on the outside of his garage. He doesn't have a camper but he also installed a cable outlet at the same time.

RE: Transmission cooler

Our '04 excursion has an external oil cooler that came on itfrom the factory. Our last TT was just over 8000 lb and the trans never got hot in the mountains, or at 75 in overdrive. We also had 4X4 with the 373 rear ends.
