RE: Electric only sites

Yes they should have water. Most people that camp with a tent don't bring a tank of water with them.

RE: was this one of you guys??

He just didn't want to follow the truck, his wish came true.

RE: ATT GoPhone ----Anything Better??

I have an AT&T pay as you go and I can put in $10.00 if I want. When we are on the road my phone works everywhere my wife's phone does and she has a contract.

RE: Maine family friendly campground

I think there's a law in Maine that all campgrounds must be family friendly. We tried once to find one that wasn't and had to give up Plan A. After spending Hades Week in Bayleys, we found Wild Duck Adult only campground nearby. No kids. Bliss. Wild Duck X2

RE: I think this forum is dangerous

I drove our last trailer at 70 or 75 quite often with ST tires for 9 years. I had to plug on because it got a screw in it. This trailer has has ST tires from some third world country and I found a staple in one after about 25,000 miles. I had it patched a ran it about a year before I got a replacement tire. If I get better tires maybe I won't get screws or staples in them.

RE: Sooooo... Do you lock your door?

Over 10,000 ex-prisoners are released from America’s state and federal prisons every week and arrive on the doorsteps of our nation's communities. More than 650,000 ex-offenders are released from prison every year, and studies show that approximately two-thirds will likely be rearrested within three years of release I worked 30 + years in a max a prison. I lock and load always I don't think all 650,000 ex-offenders were incarcerated for breaking into an RV. The handle folds over the door so it won't come open, I only use the dead bolt on rare occasions.

RE: I'm completely discouraged after reading these posts...

Last year when we came home I found a sill in the house was rotted and I had to replace it. The year before it was the **food on the cell that needed singling.** I just put a new floor on the back porch. The oil furnace quite so I have had the outdoor wood furnace going to heat our domestic water all summer (but that does keep the pool warm). We are leaving tomorrow and I can't wait because in the last 30 years with a TT only one time did anything happen on the road. Had a soft tire in a camp ground and I found a nail in the tire. Maintenance at the camp ground helped me put on the spare. My spell checker can't spell roof or shingles

RE: What's the fascination with trailer bearings?

I have to agree with the OP if the TT gets used often. If checked in the beginning and found good they should last for years. Some bearing failures come from to much meddling with them.

RE: School me on numbers

The OP says he didn't buy the truck yet and everyone wants him to load it up and weigh it, I bet the dealer won't let him do that. He need to find out what the truck weighs and then he will know the payload which may be around 1000 or 1100. He should be good if he doesn't load up the truck.

RE: Airless Tires? Maybe ...

They look just like the ones we use on construction equipment, I hope they work on making the ride better.

RE: Great Lakes Seaway from Rochester to points east

37 isn't bad if your not in a hurry. The hwy is on the north side. Stop at Robert Moses State Park an see the locks. Take the ferry across Lake Champlain if you have the time.

RE: Pros and cons of purchasing out of state

We bought out last 2 far from home. The place you buy your WD hitch should set it up and show you how to set it up. They can't do that without the TT. Beware, some places think they know how to set up a WD hitch but don't, or just don't want to take the time. Read enough to get an idea of what should happen and then watch them do it.

RE: How much $$

We don't have a lot of money but we don't have a lot of bills ether. I think RVing is like eating in a restaurant with no prices on the menu. Only you know what you can afford and you should order accordingly.

RE: does my heart good.

We took all the grand kids with us. This year our grand daughter asked us to come with her family. We parked our trailer right next to there's and I took a bike ride with one of our great grandsons (no training wheels). They don't have the same kind of camper my parents had but one more generation that loves camping

RE: KOA ridiculous charge

KOA may not have anything to do with it. What campground are we talking about? If you don't want to stay there, don't. Many people, including me, stay at KOA campgrounds and find a lot of them good. We stay at two KOAs one night every year on the way south.

RE: Repair Cost List

Too many years makes and models. Basement air or roof? Front wheel drive class B or forward control wonderlodge? Ford gas or Detroit, and on and on.

RE: Satellite with National Channels

As said above, dish has locals and there is almost always abc, nbc, cbs and Fox among others.
