RE: Where do you store your Shoes, Boots, Sandals and Slippers

Shoes, laundry and wet clothes have always been a problem in every RV I have owned since 1992. In my current trailer, I finally have space for shoes and laundry. a Wet clothes go on an extention rod over the bathtub. Right by the door is an "end table" with door which all my shoes go into. Problem solved for this RV.

RE: Water from a/c air return

I have used a long zip-tie to clean out the drain holes in the tray under the a/c on the roof... or shoot some water in there from a hose. Also, have found the 4 bolts which hold the a/c to the frame on the inside sometimes loosen up. But, usually the drain holes do it.

RE: Part of Hwy 95 in NV closed due to earthquake damage

I was in Tonopah, NV on 4/10/19 on my cross country/back trip. Stayed in a campground in Tonopah on US 95. Had a truck camper at the time. Cannot imagine what I would have done or felt if that had happened then. I was in the right place and the right time, for sure.

RE: I Have One Chance

Suggest a Class A about 30-31' long. DownTheAveue has good suggestion on elmonterv. Might also need a rental car for touring or a least a campground which has some shuttle service. St. Augustine, would be a nice area. KOA at St. Augustine Beach or Stagecoach RV Park right off I-95. Good Luck and hope this round goes better!

RE: Furrion Backup Camera Quality and Performance

I had the Furion backup camera on the truck camper I had. Clear picture, worked great. Only problem I had, which I was not used to, it only worked when vehicle was in reverse. I was used to one being on all the time when I had the motorhome to see the toad. Furion was great, tho.

RE: Tow Vehicle Advice For Newbie

I made two costly mistakes in not buying enough truck for the trailer I was towing. Didn't learn on the first one. Personally, I would look for a F250 for the weight range trailer you are looking at. Just my 1cent worth. (Inflation)

RE: Brake Controller failure

I had an intermittent problem with my brake controller showing the now brakes when rolling down the road. Turned out to be the plug on the trailer end.

RE: Heart Problems

I went through CHF with my last cocker. He was on a lot of the same meds yours in on. Every once in a while, I would take him in and his doctor would give him a shot for the extra fluid in his lungs. Be prepared to stop for potty break on way home. Bailey starting to pull away from us, went off by himself. To me, he was preparing us for his departure. He finally starting getting seizures and his doctor said it was from lack of oxygen reaching his brain. He could no longer walk and I would carry him outside for potty and to see his friends. My husband was totally against making the decision but one day we had no choice. My guilt comes from waiting too long. But, I had hubby to contend with. I just hope my Bailey Boy knew I was there at the end holding him. God Bless you and your baby. It is hard.

RE: A good problem! 5 people, 5 nights, in a 5er

In 27 years of RVing, I never had the use for a portable tote tank... until this past year. I had two choices... hook up and go to dump station or travel about 100 miles to buy the only portable tote availabe in my area. I opted for the portable tote at almost 200.00. I think 21 gallons. I wanted 30. But, once I filled the 21 gallon, I found out I could not lift it.. (solo, female, 76).. got some help, tho. But, then one day I was looking on Craigs list and there was a tote for sale for 50.00. Wow. I now carry one and if I need it, I have it.

RE: Class B camper Van

Had a Pleasure Way Excel...loved it. 20/20 hindsight is great. Wish I had it now. The only thing I had to deal with was a 10 gal black tank and pull-valve was very close to the ground. Other than that one issue, it was fantastic. Traded that and a Class A on one Class C to cut costs and maintenance. Wrong!

RE: Giant Recreation World in Florida

NOT all RV dealers are thieves and liars. I purchased a unit from Robbins in Ormond Beach, FL and that had to be the best buying experience ever. Also had a very good experience out in Bend, OR (trading while on a cross country trip and back.)

RE: new coachmen prism 2200fs - what does this switch do?

I had a blue led light like that in my new truck camper. It was a night light! Call the dealer back and ask...

RE: Gary Bunzer Rv Doctor

OP probably figured most know who Gary Bunzer is and OP didn't feel the need to put anymore in subject line. Gary Bunzer was known as the RV Doctor and did a lot of forums and articles. He passed away in the last few days.

RE: How to remove the cover of a tonneau cover

My new tonneau cover releases with a catch on each side under the cover. You have to release one side, then walk and hold on to back of cover to the other side and release that catch. Then mine rolls up and has a hook at each side near the back window. The company gave me paper directions with mine.

RE: Covid 19 high risk poll

Just me (alone) 76 and diabetic. But, will be back out on the road when things settle down and open up. Staying cautious for now, doing the best I can for myself.
