RE: F 250 vs Ram 2500

I kinda think the Ford guys should buy F350s and the Ram guys should buy 3500s. I don't see the point in anybody buying a F250 or 2500 series truck. I agree 100%!!!!

RE: New Titan tank

Not to mention if my truck gets down to a quarter of a tank, I start to panic! I’ve heard the cost to fuel up argument so many times, now I just laugh inside and move on. Each mile costs the same.

RE: F350 SRW Enough Truck

Put me down for a 7.3/4.30 F350 as well! Some day I’ll get to post on here what it is like going from a diesel to a gas. Not the best comparison since my truck is old and noisy.

RE: New Titan tank

That’s one concern I have for my next truck, biggest tank I can get from Ford is 48 gallons, since I will be getting a gas truck, my options are limited on what I can do. I have 75 gallons total capacity on my current truck and that’s about right for me.

RE: Dually rental

The problem with the older diesels is that they are LOUD by today’s standards. I tow with. 2001 F250 and can’t wait to get something quieter. Well I can wait cause that’s what I’m doing.

RE: Tell me about your 2011-16 F250 6.2L

This is a good read about the trucks: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/927237-ask-the-engineer-for-the-new-6-2l-gas-engine.html I do not own one, but I have heard nothing but good about them.

RE: Should I get a new Tow Vehicle or a Bigger Gas Tank?

I get about 170 miles on a tank with my Tahoe and I start hunting for fuel. I tow at 55-60 MPH That that puts me over three hours of travel. I can’t go much longer without a bathroom break and a stretch my legs break and walk around the rig and make sure everything is okay break. Keep the frontier if it meets your needs, or get a Ram with the 3.6 Pentestar. That is a bullet proof motor. Thanks, Jeremiah 55-60mph and stopping every 170 miles? That sounds like torture to me! Maybe one day I’ll slow down enough to enjoy the drive.

RE: Bed level of new trucks

I would think that with all the fuel efficiency mandates they would be lowering their trucks. I really like the looks of a 2WD long bed truck, they actually look usable, too bad you can’t get a truck with the stance of a 2WD with 4WD.

RE: 6.6 gas with ten speed?

Now they need to come up with an 8.1L to compete with the Ford 7.3!

RE: Build my TV

Park the big three dually one tons next to each other, have someone blindfold you and sit in each truck. Whichever seat fits you the best, buy that one.

RE: Ford F-250 7.3 Gas Engine Axle Ratios

Does tow mode automatically lock out 9 and 10, or do you force it to do that? Still towing in OD, not bad!

RE: Ford F-250 7.3 Gas Engine Axle Ratios

Do you need a 4.30 rear axle with 7.3 liter engine? Texas is far from the Rockies, Sierra and Appalachians. Not all parts of Texas! I can be in the Rockies in a few hours.

RE: Mystery squeak found

Check the cable that holds your tire up. I had one break while towing my fifth wheel.

RE: Hit a bump and lost my transmission

How much would it cost to rent a truck for 10-15 days a year?

RE: 2021 Ram 3500 H.O.

They are competitively priced, not cheap, but competitive.

RE: 2012 F-150 tow rating

Really, the best solution is to buy the trailer you like best and try pulling it with the 150, if your truck isn’t enough get a SRW 350. Towing will be easy again. Then, since you have a big truck, get a bigger trailer....

Now the wait for a review after the first tow....

RE: Those that have tuned or programmed

Appreciate you guys turning my thread into your own personal sh!t show. No kidding!

RE: Those that have tuned or programmed

My tuner doesn’t save me much time on a 5 hour drive, it may save a down shift (standard transmission) but I like to tinker with things, so I enjoy seeing what the truck will do.

RE: Those that have tuned or programmed

I have a hydra tuner on mine which has 3 different tow tunes depending on the weight. I always use a tow tune. Tow tunes are made to keep your EGTs in check, a performance or eco tune may not do that.
