RE: Hydraulic code

Thx. I added that good Caterpillar oil to stop the popping noises a couple years ago, but haven't been able to find it other than in Gulf Shores... Once I get things sorted out I'll stick better oil in. I had ATF onboard so anything in a pinch. It is the 6 point leveling system and it always looses its mind once in a while so I've had to reset to zero. I'll see what Lippert has to say, but swamped with projects because of AZ rain today. Thx again for all the help

RE: Hydraulic code

I'll contact Lippert tomorrow. They were helpful with the bleeding problem and sort of with the code but didn't help with my current message.. thought someone here might have had the same condition.

Hydraulic code

I'm getting a code not listed in Lippert app. "Jack grounding" So, I had a hydraulic line scrape itself in the battery box to a leak. On the road of course, but I managed to find the correct line (return from slide) and get a new 27' line made... fished it down, installed, only to have it blow the new end off... bak to the shop, fix both ends again and fish it down 27' while laying either in mud, or ice depending on the day in West Memphis. I had air in the line which even after adding ATF had a touch time bleeding. It's still not completely reliable. Now the jack system is refusing to work, though I'm set up in AZ with slides out and all jacks down and level, though manually . Any clue about this "jack grounding" code? I've got some time now to sort out the problems and looking for any advice. 2015 Dynamax fiver

RE: Motorhome to 5th wheel

We went from a Country Coach to a fiver a couple years ago, reluctantly I must admit, as we loved most things about the coach except the chain of events starting with hitting a deer and ending with paying thousands for non deer related events. When calculating upcoming repairs and maintenance needs, even though I could handle most events, we surrendered and took a loss. Life in our fiver is good, but my wife won't even drive the "huge" truck necessary to keep us secure on the road. I toy with the idea of going back but we're happy enough with our current arrangement I guess. We're five months in one location for the winter and driving the truck is always fun.... this ole farm boy has driven his share of rigs, but in traffic and parking lots... well, modern drivers aren't all that compassionate ... My 2 cents.

RE: Furnace Noise

OH I understand the ramifications of having an open gas heater inside... with no vent either so air exchange becomes an issue... many can be hard plumbed if tolerances permit... I'm still really on the fence with them, though I do have one in my home as a backup in case of a power outage in winter.

RE: Furnace Noise

Cleaning and adjusting makes sense... this spring or when the WX warms enough so I don't have to run the bugger every night.

RE: Furnace Noise

That Olympian Wave 6 looks pretty interesting... wonder how close to flammable materials It can be mounted? Worth another look I guess.

RE: Furnace Noise

We too are big fans of portable heaters and have used them a lot, but... since we're here in AZ Valley and are paying electric... we get buy with more propane and less electricity... but when on the road... it's Katie Bar the Door. Thx

RE: Furnace Noise

Thx ... I know the market is coming out with a Aqua Hot type prototype but think it's only sold to manufacturers and installed by them... I know they're quiet as we've had that before in a MH. I'm with you in that we'll just have to live with it.

Furnace Noise

Anyone have any fool proof way to limit the noise I get from my furnace? Our friends furnace runs in their 5th wheel and is very quiet; ours sounds like a blast furnace. It's located under the stairs but not buried too far toward the front Any suggestions appreciated.
