Weber q issue

So I converted a Weber q to work off of a quick connect line connected to camper. We had to sell our camper and now I have a grill I can’t use. Is their anyway to use it off of a propane tank ? Should I try and sell it ? Or should I contact Weber for a new regulator ? I’m afraid I’ll screw it up trying to fix it and hurt myself

Selling camper ?

I have a 2016 camper that is paid off. If you were me and wanted to sell it would you do it privately on your own or would you have a camper place sell it for the consignment deal. ? I do not wish to trade in because for medical reasons were not going camping for a while

RE: Low point drain line caps nightmare

THe lines that were not cap are likely the vent and drain line for your fresh water tank. THey do not need any caps! They’re capped when camper is in. Use. They were removed for winter and that’s when gasket / seal was lost .

RE: Low point drain line caps nightmare

If the cap is a Flair-it cap and looks like the one in the link, there is no gasket. Those caps are used to cap Flair-it fitting where the PEX tubing has been removed. They seat against the Barb the PEX normally slips over before tightening the nut used to hold the PEX to the fitting. They will hold pressure up to the rating of the fitting, valve or PEX tubing without a gasket. I have a couple I keep on hand in case I have a plumbing problem and have to disconnect a piece of PEX until I would have time to make a repair. I used one once to temporarily cap a tee I added where I was adding a new PEX line where I was installing a captive air tank. I still needed to use the trailers fresh water system before I had time to finish the tank install. So what am I suppose to do. I checked hardware stores and the rv parts department where I bought trailer it and no one can help. I’m getting depressed over this. I called forest river and that was a joke.

Low point drain line caps nightmare

So I had to pay someone in October to winterize my camper because my health was really bad. My trailer has 5 drain lines underneath. Some are labeled and some are not. On one side of camper near the hot water tank it has 2 underneath it and says low drain. Their side by side ( touching ) . To the left of that is one labeled fresh tank drain. The guy who winterized left all 3 caps off and put them in the hot water tank access door area. One of the 3 was missing a rubber gasket. I checked Home Depot, a plumbing supply store and even the service department where I bought the trailer. Nobody has this size gasket. They said they will contact forest river and call me back. They haven’t called yet . So here’s my questions please try and help. The cap is this size and looks similar to this. I can’t see the gasket inside so I’m not sure if it’s the right one or even if it has one. It’s cheap so I tried . You think this is what I need ? Flair-It 16860 Plastic Cap Fitting, 0.5" Size https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000H602C8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Tb5QCb78BXCPB Second question: on the opposite side of trailer theirs 2 more lines . These are not labeled and he left the caps on these lines. Is their an explanation for why these caps are left on and the others I described above were left off. ? I need some education if you guys don’t mind sparing the time. It’s a surveyor 2016 by forest river

New guy questions ( sorry )

First off my hot water tank has threads that are really gunked up with hard white and pink looking crud. I assume I have to buy a small enough wire brush to get in their and goto town correct? Also should i replace the anode rod every season ? Looks terrible Do you guys know the screw on caps that are on the different drains for fresh water tank and stuff underneath the camper. I have three of them but noticed one of them is missing the gasket. I assume it should have a gasket because the other 2 do. Is this gasket something I can find in a hardware store or Walmart rv section? It seems like it’s not a common size gasket . Lastly can someone give me the size of the socket I need to crank or uncrank the support/stabilizer jacks that are on each corner of camper ? I hate using an adjustable wrench it takes forever . Thanks guys

RE: Awning question?

Ok so I tried the magic eraser mop and worked a little. I think I’ll try the Tylex and or the vinegar and soap. Are my expectations to have this look like new ? Or will their always be some staining on their and I’m supposed to live with it ?

Awning question?

I can’t figure how to upload a pic but I can describe. The awning when I just rolled it out has mold all over it. Looks like lines of coffee stains. Can this be cleaned or would I be wasting my energy and time. It looks very unpleasant.

RE: Insurance?

If their are no liens against it, you may not need collision/comprehensive coverage, but liability is probably required/recommended. Have you asked your insurance company/agent? No I haven’t. I’m afraid they wouldn’t be honest
Lemonhead78 03/23/19 09:43am General RVing Issues

I live in New York State. I’ve tried searching and can’t get a clear answer. I have a towable travel trailer that is paid off and I own it. Does this mean I don’t need insurance? I know some may Recommend it, but I’m in a financial situation and if I don’t need to pay for insurance I will not. Please help . Thanks guys
