RE: Alignment...I think!

If only one tire is wearing unevenly like that, I would bet it's probably a bent axle rather than a misalignment. It's wearing pretty bad so it should be pretty apparent what's going on.

Nowhere to go

I live in northern CA and went online yesterday searching for a camping spot for a future weekend outing with the new 5th wheel. EVERYWHERE is booked solid for months. Anywhere near the coast is impossible, and going into the mountains are slim pickings with all the state park closures due to fires.
I might as well just park it in front of my house and pretend we're in the mountains. Is everywhere else like this? Owning this rig and an expensive tow vehicle hardly seems worth it if we can't go anywhere.

RE: Lounge Chair / Recliner for a relaxing nap

I vote for zero gravity reclining chairs. It's almost impossible to not doze off within 5 minutes. The only draw back is that they are big and harder to store.

RE: Electric bikes !!

ktmrfs - I guess I was exaggerating a bit at 100lbs, it's actually 65 lbs. When I crashed, I was on my back under the bike and it felt like over 100 lbs. trying to get out from under it! I think trying to hold on, I actually hit the twist throttle and launched it as I went down. Not a fun ride.

RE: Electric bikes !!

Just a little reminder to electric bike riders: Be careful on these things! While camping last weekend, I went for a ride with my grand daughter and crashed.
Riding on an asphalt path on a hillside, my front wheel drifted off the edge of the pavement and hit the dirt. I lost traction and went flying. Lucky I didn't break anything but got banged up. At 74 yrs old, I don't recover as fast and didn't walk too well for a couple of days. It was my own fault. I was going faster than I should have and didn't have the ability to control this nearly 100 lbs bike when I lost traction. I was lucky I'm not in the hospital right now.

RE: Grand Design Quality

I bought a new 2020 GD Reflection 31MB last February and although I've had a few minor problems, I think it is definitely better quality than the Jayco that I bought a few years ago. The most noticeable difference is that the GN tows much smoother than the Jayco. The "clucking" was so bad on the Jayco that I installed a Morryde rubber pinbox and it helped a lot. On the Reflection I didn't need to add the rubber pinbox at all. It tows much smoother. Most new trailers regardless of the manufacturer, put these things together with cheap, lightweight materials that don't hold up well.GN is no exception.
