RE: Data Caps Starlink

I see that Starlink mobile rates are up again. Now $135/month. I suspect that this will be an ongoing trend.

RE: RV Fuel Issues & Prices - Post 'Em Here!

Do you have/use the TSD diesel fuel discount program? Saves a great deal of money and allows you to swipe the card at the pump and drive away when you are done. Great plan and costs you nothing!

RE: How to Best Run New Coax on Roof ??

You do want a secure connection at both ends of the cable ( at least). They make wire ties with an opening for a screw. Use one at each end and maybe one in the middle. This will keep the coax taught and then additional days of Dicor every 2 feet or so will keep it secure to the roof ( no gap) for years to come. I have almost 40 feet of coax on the roof now. Has been there for years.

RE: Has Anyone Pulled New Coax in Roof?

It is also easy and acceptable to run the cable across the roof and drop it in a new hole above the cabinet containing the booster you need to reconnect to. Have done it many times and the cable will last longer than you plan to own the coach. Just use some dabs of caulk along the cable to secure it to the roof and you are back in business in no time.

RE: Medicare For Full Timers

That's why I do have to pay some deductible. The C and F plans that covered those are no longer available to us youngsters!

RE: Medicare For Full Timers

We travel full time and have for many years. I am in excellent health but have been battling a pinched nerve in my neck. Long story short, I ended up with MRI, surgery, neurosurgeon, 2 nights hospital. Now sitting for 3 months with no driving but traditional Medicare and a part F supplement appears to be covering it all but expect some bills for the required deductible payments. Part F covers your deductibles. You won't be getting any bills. That's why we bought that supplement. I understand it's no longer available but if you have it, you're good to go. Dale I have G high deductible version (Missed C or F by 2 months). So far the ER visit includig MRI was 15000 and I have been billed a couple hundred. Can't imagine how much the surgery and hospital will charge but don't expect to pay more than the 2500 deductible.

RE: Electrical

Additionally, while 50 Amp service is split 240V with 120V on each leg, the service can be set to provide 120V as well as 240V (let's now argue the exact volages) to individual appliances.

RE: Electrical

Sounds like you have a multi-wire branch circuit with one leg to RV and one to outbuilding. This is not good. If some of the outbuilding is on RV leg it could be overloaded. Installing a30 amp dedicated to the RV receptacle is best solution. Make sure the 30-amp TT receptacle is wired 120 volts and not 240! ^^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^^^

RE: Medicare For Full Timers

Just FYI, this pinched nerve was not a $100 fix and would likely bankrupt me without the proper insurance. I now have 8 screws and a titanium plate in my neck. Entry point is in the throat under the chin (looks like someone tried to cut my throat) and repairs to the spine C3-C6. The surgeon said it was caused by an injury and not old age but could not determine how long ago it might have occurred.

RE: 2006-2009 Tuscany - opinions

Pervious? Did you mean Prevost? $100000 Prevost would take you back to late 90's.

RE: anti siphon device ?

I suppose this is an inappropriate or unnecessary suggestion, but couldn't you just replace the manual setup with a simple 12v pump and new faucet?

RE: Winegard satellite antenna help

A replacement dome will give you the exact same service that you receive with your current crankup. Might be your easiest route back to getting the signal back.

RE: Winterizing tankless water heater

You could use the belt and suspenders approach. Pump pink stuff through it and then blow out the pink stuff. Anything left will not freeze and you won't be left with a bunch of pink stuff in the lines.

RE: Low power?

I am curious if you know what size wiring is running to the house 30 amp plug. If it's too small, any load on the line is going to drop the voltage quickly. If you find you do need to upgrade the wiring to that 30 amp plug, consider upgrading the plug to 50 amp with the required larger wiring.

RE: Space Storms Destroy Elon Musk's Starlink Satellites

While costly, it should not be a big deal since they just launched another batch of 50 satellites the other day.

RE: Just Asking

Could a person be considered mentally unstable if he tried to sell his RV at this time of year? Not at all. That doesn't mean it will sell but waiting until next Spring causes another years depreciation. Pick a number you can live with and stick with it. If it doesn't sell you can still try again next year.

RE: Seat switch

See if a standard 2-way momentary switch will work. Should be available at any auto store. If that works you can either modify the seat opening or use that information to locate a similar switch that be a better fit on the internet.

RE: Antennae or booster

If the flat part of the square antenna is pointing toward the sky then these are Starlink antennas for high speed satellite internet.

Yes, refreshing isn't it! You don't have to check in if there are no New Post indicator.
