RE: Newer RVs....ugh

Why sell theTC unless you need the money, need the yard space or don’t use it?

RE: Havent camped in 2 years

Don’t fret camp setup with your TT, Go slow, take breaks, devise a setup procedure. It’s mental, not physical.

Worth a thousand words, so post carefully.

RE: I10 closed

“It’s a sign of the times....” Petula Clark song. Or just “it’s called “weather?”

A China bomb...oh! Michelin! Sorry Chinese made tire haters.

RE: First TT advice

“I’m looking at TT’s that have the bathroom and kitchen over or behind the trailer axles which should mean at least the gray and black tank should also be over or behind the trailer axles.” Why do you assume the bathroom and kitchen...grey tanks...are behind the axles? Dry weights are useless. Tongue weights less than ten percent are dangerous. I prefer 14% and encounter Western wind regularly.

RE: When are those new GM suvs going to be revealed?

Per GM, in due time! (Due time = the call of the marketing department.

RE: Ford SuperDuty more bumpy + jittery empty, than when loaded?

Hey, LosAngeles, our LA roads bounce us around truck or car.

RE: Will fifth wheel front hit truck back window?

If you are concerned, find a spotter.

RE: Hitch concerns

Test it carefully and with a spotter if possible.

RE: Towing with my new Honda Ridgeline

Seems a number of small trucks have bigger payloads than 1500 Rams. A “half ton truck” that won’t carry a half ton.

RE: I-10 from New Orleans to Jacksonville, FL, both ways

If the I10 pavement in California doesn’t tear your truck apart nothing will.

RE: Ram Laramie 5.7 HEMI towing MGP

The trailer is 6500 pounds dry or wet and loaded? What’s the truck’s max payload and max trailer weight? My TT is 5200 pounds wet and loaded. My 2015 Tahoe sometimes got 12 MPG but mostly 10 to 10.5. My new Silverado does about the same. You won’t do as well at 6500 pounds minimum. You may need a new truck but don’t justify the purchase on saving gasoline.

RE: Heading to the Rockies for 5 or 6 weeks.

Good report, Bob. I wish more RVers would learn how to safely climb and descend.

A forty-three year old Dodge Sportsman? You’ll need lots more than a flywheel.

RE: wood weight

“Small fire is Ranger policy.” Glen Campbell line in True Grit. You must like John Wayne’s Deputy U.S. Marshall character...immediately builds huge fire.

RE: Vancouver, WA to Cape May, NJ (November 1st)

“Historic weather trends look okay this early in November but I'm looking to people that have actually done this before.” Not having a son or daughter in our Coast Guard, I haven’t “done this before.” Having driven that route in that time of year you might get lucky. Use a southern route.
