RE: Significant impact on RVing!!

Im starting to think some people dont understand what "A" symptomatic means. It means you can get covid and have no symptoms.

RE: Significant impact on RVing!!

With the fact that many get covid and never show symptoms ( a symptomatic) one cannot claim with certainty that they never had covid.

RE: Moderna vaccine (Personal experiences)

Being in Canada and 58 years old i received the AstraZeneca vaccine. Its the least desired one but they say its more effective on the variants i read.

RE: Moderna vaccine (Personal experiences)

Sorry to hear about the fever. I hope the no pain no gain applies. A couple days in bed at home must be better then a couple days in the icu?

RE: Significant impact on RVing!!

I've lost my freedom to infect others with a deadly virus and im ok with it. Life will return to normal one day and all the rv parks will be wide open.

RE: Generator stalls

Problem solved but its too embarrassing to share. Ok i will share my brain fart the problem was that i had a slow coolant leak from the drain cap and over time the level dropped. My mistake was thinking that i only had to top up the overflow tank. I discovered today that there is a pressure cap under a little trap door. I put about a half gallon of coolant in and shes fixed now. Silly me live and learn..thanks for all your help peeps.

RE: Generator stalls

To funny i just finished that test. First i cleaned as much of the gen surface that i could reach. Left the hood open started it up and it stalled after 7 minutes. Restarted it and it stalled after 2 minutes. Fault code is 1 flash then 33 . Stuck finger in rad to feel temp of antifreeze...it was cold.

RE: Generator stalls

Thankyou i believe the fault code is 33 which is overheated coolant. I will replace the fuel filter for sure though and also try to troubleshoot a possible overheating issue.

RE: Generator stalls

So a correction on my first post regarding the fault codes. When it stalls there is a single flash pause and repeat. After pressing off for second code it blinks 3 times short pause then 3 more blinks..... it appears to be fault code 33....

RE: Generator stalls

Tank is full. I have not tried to tighten the filter and i believe the fault code may be 33 which i believe is high coolant temp. Thankyou for the reply.... any more input would be greatly appreciated

Generator stalls

It starts up beautifully, runs for a few minutes then stalls. After it stalls it will restart beautifully and run for a few more minutes then stall. I have adjusted the oil and antifreeze levels and unplugged the remote switch to rule out the remote switch. Was thinking the fuel filter might be clogged but a little voice in my brain says that if this was the case it might not start so easily.( but the fuel filter might be the issue) Oh after it stalls it flashes once repeatedly and after i touch the off position it flashes 3 times incrementally. It stalls with or without a load. Its a onan diesel... Thoughts?

RE: Power chords stuck together

Deoxit ok will do thanks. So far i have priced out a 50 to 30 adapter at $39....not sure if all these adapters come as a dog bone but if possible i would love it as one solid piece. Heres the thing, i have the adapter attached to a 30 amp ext cord with the c clamp. At most campgrounds i would prefer to eliminate the 30 amp extension which means plugging the adapter into the park pedestal ( wont be able to use the c clamp) so i will for sure require a new adapter.

RE: Power chords stuck together

Noticed one more thing. The replacement 30 amp adapter wishbone which is also old, would not make a tight connection to the 30 amp cord and would crackle when i touch it. I put a c clamp on it to make a tight connection and will order a new 30 amp adapter.

RE: Power chords stuck together

Im guessing the 30 amp adapter is toast.

RE: Power chords stuck together

Follow up... while waiting for the new plug to come in i was able to remove the plug from the adapter! Plugged it back in and it still would not go in all the way, plugged it into a spare 30 amp adapter and it seated perfectly. Turned breaker on, no crackling, prong does not look burnt or damaged so i cancelled the new plug order.
