RE: E-bike transportation

Bikes get gently laid on their sides on top of dog beds, sleeping bags, or any other somewhat soft items. Keep it simple…. No fancy racks or tie downs that require an engineering degree.

You can wax a front cap monthly and it will still fade over time. Only way to avoid is paint

RE: 2022 Ford Super Duty interior?

Why not buy a new 2021 Super Duty and then replace it when the 2023's come out? Because most people don’t subscribe to your “ it’s cheaper in the long run to buy a new truck every couple years” plan. I think this idea may work for the perpetual truck payment people. After making payments for a couple years, start over, new truck, same payment?? Not sure though...never had a truck payment, or full coverage insurance on any of my 10 new truck purchases. For me, money saved on interest/insurance, like getting one truck free! :) Like mentioned, many would not subscribe to my method, or thought! What would I do in an accident, my truck totaled, just liability ins? Luckily never happened, but answer "just eat it, replace". Jerry Lets not derail a good topic for ^THIS^ please

RE: Andersen Hitch

We will be getting a fifth wheel soon and I plan on getting an Andersen hitch. One of the disadvantages I see regularly, and in this thread, is having to align the red hitch pin adaptor directly over the ball on the Andersen. I currently have a TT and have to do basically the same thing with aligning the ball on the truck under the coupler on the tongue . I don’t understand what the difference is and why some indicate this is a difficult thing to do. Can someone shed some light for me please? Its NOT an issue. Well according to some it is but not sure why. Easier than your TT to align...

RE: Throttle enhancement

I've never thought my Duramax needed any improvement as it's already pretty quick off the line. Its not just about “off the line”. LML trucks have pretty bad dead pedal in nearly all driving conditions. One of the worst “features” of the truck. I also run a pedal commander on my 2012. While it does help it doesnt completly get rid of the dead pedal.

RE: Electric Hummer updates on prices, availability, etc.

I believe Hummer is completely sold out for initial year of production. Maybe we will see some of these on the road by 2022. Ramping production should be easy for GM. Love to see how fast GM can go from 10,000 / yr to 300,000 per year “Sold out” of $100 refundable deposits. GM loves to tout they are sold out but how many of those deposits turn into actual sales??

RE: 6.6 Chevy gas engine

Is the trans behind the 6.6 an Allison? No, only the Duramax gets the Allison. You wouldnt want to turn that trans with a small block gasser.

RE: E rated tire with max psi of 65?

I wouldn't get rid of them. I have the Ridge Grapplers on one of my trucks, not one I use to pull or carry a camper, and they've actually been great tires. I would, however, not air them up so much unloaded. Check your door panel for what the original tires used for pressure and back that down some. 35-40 psi is probably more than enough. The inflation sticker is only applicable if running the size/spec tires the sticker is referencing. Why cant people figure this out? Especially dealers and service centers. Check the freakin sidewall NOT the truck Wider tires (generally 285 and above) will be 65psi max. A wider footprint tire doesnt need as high an air pressure as a narrower tire to support the load. This is nothing new. Been this way for years. Has nothing to do with on/off road.

RE: E85 in fuel station?

Yep I'll be running dual tunes on a Can-am X3. E85 for the dunes and 91 octane everywhere else. E85 is good for another 30+ HP with proper tune on a turbo car. I wouldn't bother with E85 on a N/A machine

E85 in fuel station?

Looking at running an E85 tune on my SxS (for the dunes) and am curious if anyone out there has filled their fuel station for a week or so without issue? Not looking to store long term as I know the issues with E85 and storage. Obviously I can't run the onboard genny with E85 in there but I should be fine for the weekend without having to run it

RE: Portable Smoker Ideas??

Another vote for the GMG Davey Crocket. Set it and go do your thing. No tending to the smoke all day.

AC kicks on with furnace while on shore power

RE: Shocks F 250 Ranchos or Bilstiens?

Bilsteins are a higher quality shock IMO. They typically outlast the TV.

RE: New 5th wheel hitch.

Get a Andersen. Zero slop/noise. Hang it on the wall in the garage when done.

RE: MaxxAir II Vent Covers - Installation

There’s a saying. You want it done right...”. Easy stuff like that they will throw a kid on and thats what you’ll get. Do it yourself if you want it done right. Probably a 30min job
