RE: How many of you own an EV?

The president of Toyota Motor Corporation said this week that adhering to California’s plan to ban gas emission vehicles will be "difficult" to achieve, and battery powered cars will take longer to phase in than the "mainstream media" believes. "Realistically speaking, it seems rather difficult to really achieve them," Toyota Motor Corporation President Akio Toyoda told reporters through a translator on Thursday discussing California’s new mandates. "But just like the fully autonomous cars that we were all supposed to be driving by now, BEVs are just going to take longer to become mainstream than the media would like us to believe," Toyoda told car dealers at the event. Toyota sells the most cars in California than another auto maker and average price of an EV is $66,000.00 according to recent business news on Google, Fox, etc. Like great majority (300 million) of Americans I am very content with my efficient gasser vehicle and efficient Android phone that does everything I need. Cheers to those with common sense like me Will not be viewing any further comments so save your gas

RE: Hurricanes and traffic jams

NamMedevac, I’m probably telling my age here, but the last part was due to Jeb Bush after Andrew, the very best governor of Florida ever; he even negotiated with the insurance companies so that they would not pull out of Florida in mass. But I think I’m getting off the subject matter here. Moderator, forgive me. I think you should have directed your comment to the dude from north florida. I was just agreeing with him but it was his comment bubba joe. Therefore you should disagree with him and not me unless you are. Cheers

RE: Hurricanes and traffic jams

"And Finally we have the best governor in the country who started preparing people days early. A highly experienced emergency action group. Plus the utility companies have been thru this multiple times. And since Andrew the building codes have been reworked to take these storms into account." Well said

RE: Travel Trailers vs Motor Home

I have observed many many times in RV parks and campgrounds people stuck for days at a time with complicated mechanical issues with their newer Class A MHs and repeated visits from mobile repair technicians. In 16 years of towing a TT I never had a serious maintenance issue with my R-Vision 28 foot lte Trail Cruiser. Worry and maintenance free for fun and fishing in local areas whereas Class A folks set in chairs at campsite with all MH outside compartments open trying to solve their problems. Cheers to the truth and the d

RE: Space Storms Destroy Elon Musk's Starlink Satellites

So where are the reports of Starlink users with no service? Not here. Seeing 156 Mbps this morning. Very recent news on Edge Browser Bing news is that in USA and Canada there has been dramatic drop off in Starlink speeds down to 65 Mps for $99.00 a month. In Canada down to 73 Mbs. Reason given is more and more heavy users piling onto the service. The other internet providers that charge this much offer Gigabit speeds. Just saying. Cheers to the truth.

RE: New Maxxis tires

I have also used Maxxis tires for many years on my TT with outstanding excellent results towing the trailer all over western U.S. from Texas.

RE: Stolen Ford 350

Typical American Greed. Not surprising. I have always done a very thorough VIN search plus other history search including visual inspection of VIN plate and door plate of all my trucks and trailers because of dishonest dealers just about everywhere. Made sure numbers on paper work matched actual VIN and door plate. Trust Us We are Your Good Neighbors, yada yada yada.

RE: This is our RV electric future. It's the future man!

Although I am a happy gasser I like EV, Solar, greenies, tree huggers, cute puppies, ice cream, cold beer, hollywood freaks, starlink, northern lights, popcorn, free casino drinks (not a gambler), Roy Rogers, Dal Evans, saving lives, Smokey The Bear, fishing, camping,Why not get yourself an RV, you might like that too.:W I did own and partial full time in a quality built R-Vision 28 foot Trail Cruiser from 2001 to about 2016. Towed it all over western U.S. from Texas to PNW. Now part time camp in truck and tent in PNW. Cheers

I just report what I see on the news slow ones and I thought might be of interest to starlink users. And again for the slow ones the article was on yesterday's Bing news page. So save your snarky remarks and get a life out of the slow lane dum

RE: This is our RV electric future. It's the future man!

No one has ever said that EV's are the answer to all needs. The ICE and Diesel will never dissappear in our lifetimes no matter how muck the greenies want them to. It took 40 years for the ICE to replace the horse, the change to EV's will not come any quicker. Nothing to debate folks. Very well said

RE: This is our RV electric future. It's the future man!

Lantley old boy I see you are pulling your fifth with a large gasser or diesel truck. Time for you go EV and pull your fifth with EV sport. Maybe your EV is hidden behind the house.

RE: Where to get three nights of peaceful RV time?

One of our favorites is Lawsons Landing/Dillon Beach. Dry camping with plenty of room on nice grassy areas. Beautiful dog friendly beach. No shopping or eating places nearby. Bodega Bay or Petaluma is nearby. If you want to people watch and just enjoy we like it. Good call moderator

RE: This is our RV electric future. It's the future man!

Rivian, the buzzy electric vehicle company backed by Ford and Amazon, reported a net loss of $1.59 billion in the first quarter of 2022 based on $95 million in revenue. From google search of business news. Total truck sales only around 1,227. enjoy

RE: Where to get three nights of peaceful RV time?

You have a lot of requirements, or I would suggest Cotton Wood creek, Cold creek along highway 89 north of Truckee or Boca or Stampede campgrounds on I 80 East of Truckee in the Tahoe NF. Always have enjoyed quiet camping off season in the week. Further away is my favorite Grasshopper flats at Lake Davis (Plumas NF) There are no eating places within walking distance at any of these tho. Have to drive for several miles for food. Part of Tahoe NF is closed due to Mosquito Fire.
