RE: Don’t Use TSD Fuel Card In Oregon

Just checked the app and it shows best price in OR is still T/A at 2.08 a gallon. They add tax on that price? Yes. According to the lady at TSD, Oregon is the only state where there is an added tax.... 36c per gallon

RE: Don’t Use TSD Fuel Card In Oregon

We use Fred Meyer usually to bring fuel down at least a dollar for 35g. 35 x 2 at a buck off. Nice. Makes fuel affordable in Oregon :) We buy a lot of Amazon and I tunes at 4 x points. This was just a convenience stop on the way South, but a little frustrating. Still saved .25 so, better than no discount. Just a learning experience to share with others Stay safe out there everyone Wishing all a wonderful Winter and Happy Holiday season

RE: Don’t Use TSD Fuel Card In Oregon

Thanks for the heads up but please provide more detail. Are you saying that the TSD listed fuel price in OR does not include the 36 cents? Correct... The lady at TSD says it is in their contract under the “ State Guidelines “ It was not listed on the app Does the station display price include that tax? Since we're usually on the coast and With very few TA TSD stations in OR, not sure I've ever used TSD there. Station display price was 2. 75 Went to Petro in Phoenix ... Price listed on the app was 2.13 When I got the settlement statement, it came out to 2.50 per gal so I called AZ has a 8 cent tax on trucks which you don't pay with the TSD card. Otherwise you have to tell them you're a RV so you don't pay. Correct. Have to do that with our Flying J card in Az, but Smith’s, with our points is much cheaper, or Costco/ Sams in Az See other answers above

RE: Don’t Use TSD Fuel Card In Oregon

The PUD tax is Oregon states fuel tax (road tax), if diesel, did you grab refer fuel instead of truck fuel? Refer fuel isn’t taxed, and is dyed red. Hi. No. No refer. S15 I believe Or B5/10 Apparently that little gotcha it is buried somewhere in their contract. Didn’t read it, and not upset about it Just letting others know who may not be aware and haven’t read it

Don’t Use TSD Fuel Card In Oregon

User beware First use,and strike number one. Received our settlement statement from TSD. Apparently, Oregon is the only State that charges and additional .36 to every gallon of fuel for PUD tax, so instead of the 2.13 a gal posted on the app, it turned into 2.50 after everything. Should have gone to Fred Meyer. Just an FYI

RE: Best RV repair company, roof replacement Oregon

Oregon Motorcoach in the Eugene/Junction City area https://oregonmotorcoachcenter.com/ X 2 Call and talk to Brad the service manager. Great family company. Spendy, but great work, and they also handle any warranty you might have. Only place I would trust in Oregon to work on our coach.

RE: Total outdoor flame device ban Oregon SP

I’m very happy to hear you’re safe Don. You are correct about the coast. We are just south west of Coos Bay on the water. 3-4 days ago, the dusk to dawn lights came on at 3:30 in the afternoon, and it was impossible to breathe or be outside. The last couple days have been slightly better, but even small craft crabbing in the harbor are having to use GPS to return to dock. Visibility is about 500-750 yards, and still pretty stinky. Ash is still falling. Talking to friends around Tillamook, it’s the same up North, if not worse. Last we heard, friends in Waldport had been running off generators for a couple days due to power outages, and said there was panic to get fuel. Our prayers go out to everyone affected by this. Stay safe all

RE: Total outdoor flame device ban Oregon SP

Am I the only one thinking...not a word about the fires in Oregon? or about the huge fatality count? The cities that have been totally destroyed? Only about whether or not someone can cook their steak? Gary Haupt I hear ya Gary. Our marina RV park neighbor just lost everything. 6 acres, barns, RV garage, 2500 sq ft house, everything reduced to ashes. Several people are here because they were evacuated, or lost it all. People have lost family, and all worldly possessions. Yeah, let’s worry if we can cook steak.

RE: Anybody: highway 42-S from Coquille Oregon

Correct. Curvy, two lane road, but very doable

RE: OR road closures

The smoke and ash came to the Coast today. Very difficult to breath, and thick ash falling. Not sure how things are north of Florence, but south is nasty. Definitely recommend anyone with breathing issues stay away.

To brighten our day

So, pulled up to Fred Meyer this morning to fuel up before heading out. Starting on the first 35 gal when a gentleman pulls up behind us. DH approaches and tells the gentleman, just starting on the first 35 and have 70 more to go.... Instead of saying cool, thanks for letting me know.... Says... What are you fueling? An aircraft carrier! Slams it into reverse and picks another lane.. Lol. It’s gonna be a great day! We’re about 30 minutes out and still laughing

RE: Dental Assistance

Most insurance companies want you to pay your fair share, before they pay anything major, so there is usually a 6 month waiting period for major work My suggestion would be to find a DDS you are happy with, and talk to him ( her ) directly about a cash discount. With what’s happening in the country right now, I am pretty sure you will find most any dentist will be willing to work out a substantial cash discount

RE: A&E by Dometic window awning

Check with I think it's tough tops. They made the replacement material for my slide out awning and I'm satisfied with the material and workmanship. Just need to send them the measurements and web site tells you how to do that. I would not choose their material for a window awning. We got all our slide toppers, and main awning replaced at their facility last year, and have had nothing but problems The anchor point where the awning material meets up with the metal roller isn’t woven tight enough, and all 3 they replaced, when it rains, water comes through the material edge and drips down the underside. Also, he cut both slide toppers materials too short, and when it rains, water pours off the sides into any open windows The material is very sticky, and wrinkly. We are extremely dissatisfied with our awnings. He was supposed to replace them last month, but we couldn’t go to his shop this year due to Covid So, long story short, we went there due to recommendations, but don’t make the same mistake We found Dometic Acrylic Window awnings online several years ago and installed 3 of them ourselves on our old 5’r Dometic is very backed up due to Covid, but they are mostly back to work and production should be screaming again soon. We are waiting for awning struts from them

RE: Oregon Coast in September

Bow picker... closed Maritime Museum... closed.. says they’re open, but not Boiler Bay overlook... closed Roadside pullouts... closed Very few sit down restaurants open, and definitely no free sardine samples. That is the state of affairs up here on the Coast as of July 26th. Might want to check to see what will be open before you make the trip. As we get closer to November, there will most likely be another lockdown, and more venues closed.

RE: Buying an RV in CA from private party

I have read it may depend on where you take delivery. I read a lot of CA cars shipped out of CA to deliver an out of state purchase.. This is how to a avoid Cali tax on a DEALER purchase, though, you pay tax when you register in Az
