RE: No Anti-Sway/Weight Distribution

Yep, it's a 2500 HD Have hauled the Imagine about 5,000 miles since I got it last November. Wind seems to be a big issue so far, but that may be because I was lucky enough to haul it on windy days.

No Anti-Sway/Weight Distribution

My son will be renting a small travel trailer (2011 Jayco Skylark) Trailer to camp next to us at a state park. He does not have means to it tow at this time and has asked me to tow it for him. We get to the park a day before and leave a day after, so this will not be a problem for me. I contacted the person who rents it and they do not supply the hitch. Thus, no anti-sway/weight distribution. My camper is much larger and I use a heavy-duty Equalizer Hitch, which will not work on this small camper. It uses a 2” ball, which I have available. The camper is located 20 miles away from the park. Am I being overly paranoid about sway, hauling this camper on the highway?

RE: Freezer not freezing

OK, ten days ago outside Ambient temps ranged from ten below zero (degrees F) to 18 above. Since then, there has been a gradual warm up ranging mid teens for lows to lower 40's for highs. We keep the inside above freezing with space heater and occasionally running the furnace.

Freezer not freezing

We have fairly new camper and we are planning a trip from WI to AZ next week and we want to have some food to eat on the road. The fridge is a Dometic DM2882RBFX Freezer is at 38 degrees & fridge at 42 degrees. All the proper lights are on and turned to coldest setting. We have made this trip numerous times before at this time of year (with other campers) and don't remember having this issue. What's up ? and Thanks for any help !

RE: new mattress needed, any reason to buy from camping world?

Three new travel trailers ago, my DW hated the mattress that came with the unit. We went to the local mattress factory (Verlo) and had them make one to our specifications (RV Queen). It has been one of the best investments we ever made (Happy Wife – Happy Life). We just purchased a new TT and made the dealer swap mattresses as part of the deal.

RE: Generator use during travel

For the past eight years we have left Wisconsin and headed to Arizona in February. Sometimes it has been very cold when we started. All liquid things in the pantry, extra bottled water, etc. were in danger of freezing. I hang an indoor/outdoor thermometer in the camper and take readings as we travel along. If it close to 32°, we stop after fueling up and turn on the furnace. We monitor it and turn it off when the temperature gets into the 60’s. Usually by the second/third day we are far enough south not to worry about it. This has worked well for us in cold weather travels. Happy Trails.

RE: Finally took delivery!

Nice looking Camper, I like the big outside kitchen. We've have a new one too and it is taking some to find room for all the old stuff in new places. Enjoy!

RE: Propane Tanks Direction

Yes, I have a tank cover. When I take it (the cover) off and the regulator is facing the rear, it is very difficult to see the red/green indicator. I was planning on flipping it around when I refill one of the tanks. I just wanted to know the reason they were facing the rear in the first place. Thanks for your replies.

Propane Tanks Direction

Just got a new Imagine 3250BH and the dealer has the connection and propane tanks facing the back of the unit. It doesn't make it very user friendly to see which tank is on or reach. They gave me a reason, but I can't remember what it was. Any problem with switching them around?
