RE: Dayton to West Yellowstone I-90 and I-94

We've taken both at one time or another in the last 5 years both are fine.
Thank you.

Dayton to West Yellowstone I-90 and I-94

We're planning a trip from near Dayton, OH to West Yellowstone, MT in late July thru mid August this year. Plan on taking I-94 on the way out and I-90 back. How are the road conditions on these Interstates? Anything we should know about them?

RE: In bed fuel transfer tank question

So part time use and frequent removal?
Good luck. At least a metal tank can be strapped down fairly securely for safety purposes or could even install some nut serts or weld nuts to the bottom of the bed for easier removal.
I’d be hard pressed to leave a fuel tank in my truck that isn’t somewhat “permanently” secured.
Safety issues aside, if not bolted down, it’s like Christmastime for tweakers every time you park it!
I'm looking at low profile units, I have a BAKFlip MX4 bed cover to hide from prying eyes when not towing the 5er.

RE: In bed fuel transfer tank question

Thanks to all for all the replys. I should have mentioned that I don't want it plumbed into the truck as I need to remove it so I can use the entire bed when not traveling.
It looks like it is 6 of one and a half dozen of the other...

In bed fuel transfer tank question

Looking to ad a 35-75 gallon in bed fuel transfer tank.(not an auxiliary/plumbed in) What type should I get, aluminum, steel or poly? Aluminum scares be because it is so thin, and steel will rust.
I was thinking poly, should be less condensation problem?
Please only respond if you have or had one of these. What is your experience?

RE: 5th Wheel vs. Gooseneck

If you are buying new, Lippert frames approve a Goosebox adapter (has shock absorbers and air bag) but not rigid adapters.
That is incorrect information. I have a Lippert Gooseneck Connect that does not void Lippert's warranty. https://store.lci1.com/gooseneck-connect-21k-2020043670
Pulled my 45' toyhauler 6 thousand miles so far, no problem.

RE: Leaving camper setup and leveled
