RE: A redneck Automated Safety Hitch?

So, what'da you going to do? SUV is to tall to put the hitch on top.

RE: Planning on pulling Cottonwood Pass Colorado

While it will snow in Colorado in the spring, Colorado DOT knows snow and how to handle it. No matter the route, you may have to wait a day or two for them to clear the roads. US160 is a truck route and they keep it clear.

RE: Black Ice Detectors

Wet pavement will be shiny, black ice more dull, and as mentioned appear to be “new” looking pavement. Yes, the best black ice detector is your eye balls.

RE: Thinking of replacing ASME propane tank

My 500 gallon tank has been sitting outside since 1955. Of course I don't spray salt water on it.

RE: Better/safer to have only one w/d bar? Or none?

I only use mine to keep the headlights down on the road. Do a lot of towing without it. Never any sway either way.

RE: Locked radio on my 2001 Suburban

I'm glad they stopped doing that. 06 Yukon XL, replaced the battery twice with not problem.

RE: senior pass

I think I paid 10.00 for mine but 80.00 would still have been a bargain. We haven't been to many NP but have saved more than the cost just in COE sites. Wish I could get a 80.00 pass for Disney world or Universal Studio, although it would likely be 80.00 a day :) Haven't been for a while have you?

RE: 4-Corners

I still have the beautiful native vase I bought my wife the last time we were there.

RE: IOTA Circuit breaker Box

You seem to have a lot of questions about how to replace a circuit breaker. Based, on those questions, I question how you are going to wire this new breaker and run the wire to it.

RE: Mysteries of RV design

You guys do realize the people who design RVs have never been camping and never use their product....

RE: travel to Haines Alaska

Well, if they actually live there, then they know what it's all about. So worrying is a waste of time.

RE: OT- now I’ve seen it all.

My dashcam causes interference in the radio, maybe I should flip the fuses around. :@ Can't hurt. :B

RE: Myrtle Beach Camping World

Watched an F104, 69, Viet Nam come up our flight line, south to north from the sea, 100ftfrom the deck maybe. Right before he got parallel with our support unit's hanger,He opened up his gattling gun. It did not fire at as fast a rate as an A10 but I believe it was a 30mm, In just a few hundred feet he almost stalled, it seemed, from the recoil. The north end of the field was tin shanties, right up to our wire, almost.Next day and thereafter when I took the jeep o the USO, or the PX across town I kept a more watchful eye.I never did see what he hit. What in the world has this got to do with a new RV that has multiple problems and the difficulty in getting correct repairs done?Yep, lost me on this one too. You have to understand Old Timers Disease, easy to get lost in your thoughts.

RE: Trouble with California

Somebody said something about the agent trowing away a dead flower and an apple. Trowing something in the trash doesn't keep the bugs out does it?

RE: Grand Canyon (South Rim) to Sedona in 2020

I don't see any thing in that picture that would be a concern. 2 semis, pu and camper and a motorhome.

RE: Upper clearance lights

Wait till you get home, nobody is going to stop you if you have a light out.

RE: RULER reading???

Might as well throw the tape measure away if you don't know how to use it and read it.

RE: Repair costs and frequency frustration

If you've been going to the stealership for repairs, then of course you have high repair costs. High repair cost is what they do best.

RE: Cost of installation for antenna

Won't hurt the babies to not have a cell for a day or two.
