RE: Dometic Mother Board

Why are people posting about their refers???????? Doug Because you have those with some technical or mechanical aptitude, and then you have those who have not a clue, that are best off to leave such things to others, but they still feel the need to post their "valuable" advice or comment which does not have snot to do with the subject? AGREE . . . Glad they are not working on my rig.

RE: Dometic Mother Board

The OP's P/N is for a ROOF AC CONTROL BOARD. Why are people posting about their refers???????? Dino does not make AC control boards for Dometic. Doug I posted a link where he could get one. You said they are available . . . Not sure he reads the reply's. My search came up the same as you. A control board for an AC unit.

RE: Diamond Shield

I got it off somewhat easily using a heat gun and plastic body chissels. Did it on all my wheel wells where they had it. Got the set of chissels on amazon. They'll remove the shield and wont scratch the paint. I then used mineral spirits to get the remaining goop off.

RE: GAS CLASS A. Vs. Dually

We have 5 dogs and love the class A. It is more convenient for us. No stopping at rest area. Get out of truck go to trailer. We can stop make coffee, take the dogs out and just roll down the road. As far as the ride I have found when we have had a 5th wheel it rode better than our class A gas rigs and was much quieter. Now a diesel pusher . . . Thats another story.

RE: 2022 Zephyr or Cornerstone - Which Should I Buy?

Holy Moley! For that kind of cash you could buy a used Prevost that's 10 steps above any of those new plastic coaches! Check it out at Prevost-Stuff or Prevost Community. Don't pay more for 4th best! Not seeing any Prevosts for that price that aren't 15+ years old and either non-slide or very much not my style/taste inside. We aren't full-timers so while I'd LOVE a Prevost I also want a new coach that has the features/amenities of 2022 (not 2007). Sometimes the features of a "new" coach are not that great. Lots of issues with the NEW coaches and DEF sensors, Spyder Control Systems going bonkers, etc.

RE: 2022 Zephyr or Cornerstone - Which Should I Buy?

Just my opinion, I'd buy a Tiffin product before I'd buy an Entegra product. That being said, with both of them now being owned by Thor, who knows?? Might be the right time to seriously throw Newmar into the mix, as has been previously mentioned. Entegra is a Fancied up Jayco . . . As I said earlier . . . That kind of cash can get you into a nice used Newell or Foretravel.

RE: 2022 Zephyr or Cornerstone - Which Should I Buy?

No but my rv is 43' and has the Aquahot 450 and it heats the RV just fine.

RE: 2022 Zephyr or Cornerstone - Which Should I Buy?

When I looked at Cornerstone I saw it has the little 450 Aqua-Hot so I didn't consider it any farther. Something like that needs the Aquahot 600 system.

RE: 2022 Zephyr or Cornerstone - Which Should I Buy?

Well a new Zephyer 45 is 845k and a Cornerstone is 700k. A nice London Air which I saw at a RV park and started talking to the owner was about the same price. Dutch Star is a nice unit too. If it were me I"de even Consider a slightly used Newell or Foretravel for around 500k and not take the depreciation loss as soon as you drive it off the lot. Check out NIRV in Georgia and Motorhomes of Texas. They have some real nice rigs in that price range

RE: 2022 Zephyr or Cornerstone - Which Should I Buy?

If I were spending that kind of cash I'de be looking at a Newmar with the Comfort Drive System. I have not had a Spartan chassis rig but my PowerGlide rides nicer than any Freightliner

RE: New to Class A - Would it be Fleetwood or Winnie or Tiffin

Tiffin, Newmar, Winnebago are top notch. Fleetwood is one step down. Just my opinion

Rand Mc Nally GPS

Seems Rand Mc Nally is getting out of the RV GPS Business and that is what the Xite systems use. Email from them: Dear Rand McNally RV GPS Customers, Well, we've almost reached our destination. Your in-dash RV navigation software is eligible for a map update, which we're very happy to get to you in advance of the summer travel season. Unfortunately, as RV navigation updates have become more data-heavy and technically complex over the years, this will be the last update for your device. Please see below for installation instructions. We will continue to support your RV navigation software via the Rand McNally Dock, which will allow you to download and install the updated map data. Additional services via the Dock will remain operational, such as the Repair function. For additional support, please visit our Support Center. We've enjoyed traveling with you and wish you much happiness down the road. Sincerely, Rand McNally

RE: Broken PowerPro Awning advice.

You can buy new arms from Dometic. They are probably the 65.5 inch long arms. I have 2 coming off my coach Wednesday as my motor went bad and can’t get a replacement. Send me a PM if interested

RE: 2004 39s fleetwood discovery new owner honey dew list

2 . . . Gas shocks can be purchased on Amazon. The part number tells the pound capacity and you'll just have to measure the length. 3 . . . Slide seal replacement depends on how much space you have and how they are fastened 4 . . . Dicor self leveling is what i use.

RE: Best solutions for internet - REAL solutions please! :)

We use the FMCA hot spot at 49.95 a month. Can stream 3 TV's and internet with no issues or throttling. We have been all over the East Coast, Texas and out west. It has worked everywhere so far.

RE: Icemaker quit --- any ideas ?

Icemaker probably went bad. Solenoid is usually at back of fridge where water connects. You can get a replacement icemaker on Amazon for usually around $40.

RE: Stranded in Marietta, GA

You would almost be better off at this point to get a good compressor at Lowes or depot and hook it up to your auxiliary port on your rv. Plug in the compressor and start the generator so you have power to the compressor and drive to where you need to go and figure it out later.

RE: Stranded in Marietta, GA

Been stranded for a week now. This is very frustrating. Georgia Truck Doctor is on the way. I hope he can figure this out. Keep us posted
