RE: What size sheets do you use for the beds In toy hauler

You will have to buy a king, queen or double unless you order RV specific size sheets. Most RV’s use a king which is 72-74” wide rather than the residential 76”;wide. Queens are usually the same width as residential but may be only 74-76” long rather than the normal 80”.

RE: Florida State Parks increasing fees.

The email FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: April 20, 2021 CONTACT: DEP Press Office, 850-245-2112, DEPNews@FloridaDep.gov DEP ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO STATE PARK FEE SCHEDULE ~Fees changing for overnight reservations and camping utility use~ TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – In order to continue its tradition of award-winning visitor experiences and affordable nature-based recreation, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) state park system will implement changes to its fee schedule for camping/cabin reservations and related utility fees beginning Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Currently, fees are collected for making, changing and canceling reservations. There will be no change in these fees under the new fee schedule, and they will continue to be collected at the time reservations are made, changed or canceled. Utility fees, which are currently collected from day campers using park utilities, will be extended to cabin stays and overnight campsites using electric and water. The fee will be assessed daily. The Florida Park Service has not increased any fees since 2009. Subsequent increases in utility fees are proportionate with increasing costs of electric power, water, sewer and utility maintenance. The increase in revenue will enable Florida's award-winning state parks to continue providing high-quality recreation in an unmatched natural setting.

RE: 50 amp in a 30

We do it all the time at most older state parks..I can run one of my 15K air conditioning unit and most everything else except the electric water heater. Cook and heat water on gas, don’t use A/C while using the microwave but the converter always stays on.

RE: Emerald Coast Florida, campground advice

Top Sail, Grayton Beach, and St Andrews are state parks with beach access. All are popular and require advanced reservations.

RE: Blue Ridge Parkway - Early April

I’ve travelled both directions the entire length from just west of Waynesville with a fifthwheel 13’3” tall. The low clearances are where the outside radius is. Moved over a few feet toward the center and no problems.

RE: 2022 F350 on order

https://i.imgur.com/2Q9O1Rwl.jpg I have the sync 3 and do not like the screen at night, they need a dimmer or auto dim with the headlights. Our 2018, Sync 3 dims when the lights are on and we sometimes turn it further down by rotating the dash dimmer .

RE: Taking I-10 to Jacksonville FL Looking for a layover spot

Hanna is at the Beach and north east of your destination. There is a Walmart right on I-10 at SR228, exit #336, Macclenny, Florida 8 miles west of Jacksonville City Limit. Walmart sounds perfect - I take they allow an overnight stop? I know some can't or don't. It’s our fuel stop. Haven’t stayed there myself but have seen MH and TT’s with tow vehicle disconnected many times.

RE: Also replacement axle

You can buy axles almost everywhere even through Etrailer. All you need is the axle capacity and a few measurements. “Hub face and spring center.”

RE: Operational problems with new diesel pickups

My 2018 truck has 28767 miles on it. It has pulled our Cardinal 3350 26543 miles. We’ve been all over the Appalachian chain and back and forth to Florida too many times to count. The DEF consumption is higher when towing but never a mechanical problem. Change the oil every 6,000 miles.

RE: Florida State Park camping tag good at other FL state parks?

Last year and the year before, we were staying at Top Sail SP but would drive over to Grayton Beach SP to swim. We were Florida residents at the time and was never charged a second entry fee.

RE: Ford 2022 Super Duty

Wish they would get rid of that column shifter putting it in the console like the 150 and use that column space for a paddle shifter or other stalk accessories..

RE: Will it be difficult to find a reliable 5er on a 20K budget

Heck yeah, I think the $5 gas that is coming will change the market. $5 a gallon diesel, actually $5.15 in New York back in 2008 didn’t slow us down and the roads were full of RV’s.

RE: Blue Ridge Parkway - Early April

Tunnel heights are measured at the fog line so one direction could be more or less clearance than the other.

RE: 60 gallon gas tank

Maybe I'm wring but I thought the feds do not allow in the bed gasoline tanks, diesel only. Gas is too flammable. "Gravity flow gasoline transfer tanks are not allowed under DOT regulations. They have to have turnover valves and be a pump/transfer system. ... Yes, we manufacture our aluminum refueling tanks to meet and exceed the requirements for gasoline, kerosene, methanol, and diesel" OP, says he has a diesel.

RE: Best Cell Phone App

While it sounds good to use your phone and an app to navigate but you will be happier with a Garmin for RVs. Garmin is the best of a so so bunch. Yes you will have an additional piece of hardware but money well spent. My new Garmin Is junk and not any better than Waze.
