Water fill connection fitting

I broke this connection when removing my fresh water tank. i need a new one but cant seem to find what im looking for. its barbed on one side and slip on the other. similar to the below picture . the MTP side would be slip. i believe its 1 3/8. this was the coupling used to marry the fill hose with the top connection on the fresh water tank. https://i.imgur.com/xVOPskFl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Weua27yl.jpg

RE: Fresh water gate valve leak

I was looking at those Gdetrailer.. or something similar.. i went ahead and used some jb water weld to see if that fixes it. i can see a very fine small crack so i figured id try that first. i also found these type of compression fittings used for repairing fresh water tanks. use a hole saw to cut out old connection and use these. may try if jb wter weld doesnt fix it. https://www.recpro.com/universal-fresh-water-fittings-installation-kit-with-sensors-for-pvc-pipe/

RE: Fresh water gate valve leak

i was able to unscrew the valve from the white connection body.. i screwed in a cap with some plumbers tape, filled up some water and it was still leaking. looks like its leaking from the actual connection at the base. red arrow in pic.. not good. any idea how to fix this. can i epoxy? can i have a new connection spun weld? any help is greatly appreciated. https://i.imgur.com/igmcN4Ml.jpg

RE: Fresh water gate valve leak

Ya, i agree its the wrong valve.. i filled up tank and let water run out, didnt seem dirty or full of deposits, but i do know that the tank itself has not been used in years. i see it leaking from where the white and black pipe meet. im off to go take it apart and see what hell it brings.. i'll post an update. thanks Gdetrailer

RE: Fresh water gate valve leak

Hahha.. that made me laugh.. ya im sure its fresh water.. its at the front of TT, under bed. The fill hole for it is the front on the side, when i start to fill it that valve starts dripping.. it is 1 1/2 There are 2 other tanks in TT, one under kitchen and one under bathroom. both those thanks drain out of one single 3" connection in the back with 2 gate valves. So basically taking apart the valve itself will allow it to disjoin from the white pipe?

Fresh water gate valve leak

So it looks like my new to me rv has a fresh water gate valve issue. Its leaking where the black gate valve meets the white drain pipe. The valve itself says abs so im assuming its glued to the white pipe. any one have a good trick on getting this old valve off. i'd like to replace with new but have no clue how to break this thing free? the brand on it says bristol. https://i.imgur.com/Yb3HDYRl.jpg

Alot of great info on this thread. i do appreciate it.. next step is to do a power audit. i will read about that and go through the process.. im pretty set on getting this g2 batter by interstate. not sure what the extreme means compared to the other deep cycle golf cart battery. https://www.interstatebatteries.com/products/gc2-ecl-utl

RE: Need new batteries. Any advice?

alot of great info there Gdetrailer. appreciate it. i looked at costco and found this battery. is this what im looking for? https://www.costco.com/interstate-6-volt-golf-cart-battery.product.100476406.html i notice there is another model of this battery sold elsewhere labeled "extreme".. part number GC2-ECL-UTL. is the price difference worth it? https://www.campingworld.com/interstate-gc2-deep-cycle-extreme-6-volt-golf-cart-battery-71706.html i saw another battery called a trojan 105.. but they are pretty high.. read of others buying them for around 130 but i didnt find that price anywhere

RE: Need new batteries. Any advice?

Wow i woke up to some great advice.. i really appreciate it guys.. and yes if my trailer is on its side i have bigger issues then batteries. ha usage is still under scrutiny by the wife. id like to boondock for sure. we are in texas so i'd like to go out to crystal beach, big bend, etc. i didnt realize the existing batteries were 6 volt. glad i asked.. i thought they were 2 12 volt batteries wired together. thats what i meant when i said i know just enough to be dangerous. i will be purchasing a dual fuel generator for boondocking so i wont be on battery power the whole time. its sounding like 2 6 volt golf batteries will be my best bang for the buck. able to draw them down farther.. also would give me the power i need while i navigate the rv world. any specific brand or model you all suggest?

Need new batteries. Any advice?

New here, howdy ya'll.. got a new to me travel trailer, 26ft, and am need of new batteries. there are 2 in the front, looked to be wired together. It currently has 2 old interstate deep cycle batteries (see below). looks like they have fill caps on top for water. i know some stuff about batteries but only enough to be dangerous. what would i buy that would be equivalent to the existing? are these lead batteries.. are they considered agm? any advice is greatly appreciated. https://i.imgur.com/ayvqsO5l.jpg
