Look through all of the "Notifications" settings and see if there is one for Android or system notifications that got turned on with the update.

Any decent 5th wheel toy hauler could easily handle it. The only issue would be the temperature changes in the garage of a toy hauler affecting the tuning... but since you're a "pianotuna," that shouldn't be a problem.

First off, I would ask where you plan to use them. Many counties across the country have codes that prohibit use of RVs for permanent/stationary housing.

RV Trip Wizard is extremely handy for both planning routes and finding places to stay. It's a paid subscription service, but I find it worth every penny. It cut planning time by 2/3 for me on our 3,600 mile, 30+ stop trip last spring.

This has been asked and answered innumerable times on the forum. Having lived in Augusta, GA, for 26 years necessitating towing through Atlanta to get west, we found that towing straight through on I-20 to be the best - avoiding rush hours, of course. Avoid the loop I-285 AT ALL COSTS. An RV-specific GPS such as the Garmin RV series really helps with being in the correct lane making things smoother and less stressful.

RE: Wingard PA6002R Pathway X2, Satellite Receiver, Good??
The Pathway X2 is an antenna - not a receiver. That said, it is the best of the portable automatic Dish Network antennas and can get both the eastern and western Dish satellite groups (meaning you can get HD locals in any part of the country). We've used an X2 with a Wally receiver for eight years and it has served us well.

This isn't directly related to your questions, but just a thought: there have been more posts lately on the three forums I frequent about some privately-owned parks not allowing RVs older than 10 or 15 years (depending on the park) into the park(s). We don't go places like that, anyway, so it wouldn't matter to us.

It varies from dealer to dealer. The dealer we purchased both of our full-time fifth wheels from would make an appointment and get us in and out the same day for minor stuff - even a washer/dryer installation. When we needed warranty work done and weren't in our dealer's area, Grand Design stepped up to the plate and paid for a mobile tech.

Sweet. I guess that's why Grand Design was a lot more expensive. I may regret going cheap. (but I don't regret it yet)
Our Solitude was no more expensive than any other similarly equipped and built mid-grade "residential" capable fifth wheel. They all use the same appliances and basic components, anyway.

Is there any yellow residue on the back side of the fridge around the boiler or tubing? How long has the fridge been sitting without moving? Have you tried it on electric to see if it behaves any differently?

The repeater will be necessary. It's easily installed in the front (battery) compartment and connected to the battery for power. We used a TireMinder A1A (same sensors and repeater as the model you're considering) on our Reflection 337.

The Windows Defender security system (Microsoft's built-in system) has come a LONG way. I'm using it on both of our Win 11 laptops and have had zero issues in the years I've been using it. It costs nothing extra and there's much less overhead (doesn't bog down the system) than McAfee and other aftermarket programs. Prior to the improvements in Windows Defender, I used avast! on the advice of the IT people at work (a 500+ bed hospital with probably thousands of PCs).

Since you're considering some new equipment anyway, Dish network with a Wally and a Winegard Pathway X2 automatic antenna will get you HD on both the eastern and western Dish satellites with locals you can change (a $10 or $12 option). We've used this setup for eight years and have been happy with it - even have a hard drive on the Wally to make it a DVR. We stream almost everything we watch via our unlimited hotspot now, though. The Dish equipment is packed away in storage for now.

Grand Design has an option for 8K axles (which the 399 may already have) with disc brakes. I wouldn't have a toy hauler that heavy without disc brakes. Other than that, we're in our second Grand Design fifth wheel and have been very happy with both the RVs and GD's customer service.

It doesn't even have to be Splendide units - we have a Whirlpool washer and dryer in our fifth wheel. They are 120VAC apartment-sized and stackable. You not only need to consider electrical supply, but plumbing water to the washer and getting a drain from the washer to one of the gray tanks. If your TT is not prepped for W/D or doesn't have a proper space, it would be quite an undertaking. If you're not full-time, it's probably not worth it.

There is a Facebook page dedicated to this topic. It's called "WINTER RVing - Let's Stay Warm Together!" There are some very knowledgeable people over there. IMO, you will be hard-pressed to find a "normal" RV that can withstand the winter conditions in AK. They're just not designed and built for that. There are a few companies making what are sometimes called "mobile man camp" trailers for the oil field and pipeline workers. They're pretty basic, but have what you would need for a winter in AK.

I have seen the man camps made from shipping containers or big rigs. That is a bit out of my price range, but they are very cool. My step dad works up on the slope and some of his coworkers stay in similar setups. I know bigfoot is a beefy enough rv to handle that weather, but getting them in the states, used or otherwise, is more difficult than I'd originally thought these days.

I'm not talking about that type of thing. The units I've seen are built on a regular, towable chassis and can be pulled by a 1-ton pickup without a permit. They just have everything insulated and configured to handle -40F.
