RE: Multimeter recommendation?

Buy a cheap Harbor Freight meter if that's all you're doing. https://www.harborfreight.com/7-function-digital-multimeter-63759.html

RE: Pro-Pride Hitch

Not the 3 Ps but the Hensley which is basically the same. No jerking or swaying towing my 28' AOL travel trailer.

RE: Used RV prices.

Grats on the sale and purchase. I have a 28' (LOA) 2010 Trail-Sport by R-vision that the wife and I only use twice a year and at 76 yrs old, was thinking of putting it up for sale. Hope the selling market stays hot, LOL.

RE: Rear Bumper Storage - how bad is it?

Only concerned about the increased sway tendency from the added mass so far away from center. I have a Hensley hitch that virtually eliminated sways. But I don't tow over 65mph.

RE: Rear Bumper Storage - how bad is it?

I added an aluminum tool box at the rear then added larger propane tanks, two batteries and a 2k generator up front to balance the weight. https://i.imgur.com/uTPt2yel.jpg https://i.imgur.com/eB5KGl5l.jpg

RE: Electric awning......not working?

Use a BAH...j/k. I currently have a manual but have been thinking of switching to electric but from what I've read, I should keep the manual.

RE: Coleman Mach III 13.5 btu replacement

Best to buy another 2k gen then parallel yours with it. Those two will provide the watts needed to run your AC. That's what I have and what's nice is that I only run both when the AC is on otherwise only one is needed. Suggest you look at WEN brand 2k gen, has great reviews and cost a little over $400 then parallel that with your Honda.

RE: Help! A/C only works when below 100°

I had a similar problem AC cooled fine but when ambient temp reached 100° it'd trip the breaker. Thinking the capacitor was failing, had it tested and it was okay. Being the unit was 10 yrs old just decided to replace with new. Best decision made.

RE: Dometic AC

A "Hard Start" capacitor may fix your problem.

RE: Need help for locating a new Generator box

Google "travel trailer generator mount" Maybe one of these will work for you. https://tweetys.com/images/products/thumb/trailertray.jpg https://images.etrailer.com/static/images/pics/m/n/mnt54fr_4_250.jpg

RE: Elect. start generator.

Here is a 2300 watt inverter/ Generator with electric start. Electric start generator Awful pricey for a 2300w. For a few dollars more I'd go with the Predator 3500w and with a Harbor Freight discount code it would be cheaper yet.

Dog's Sleeping Quarters

We have a 4# Pom and a fat 8# Chihuahua. Although we place their beds in the main cabin, they prefer to sleep on the floor besides our Island bed. It makes it difficult to have to tip toe over them during the night to go to the bathroom. So today I decided to cut access holes and place their beds underneath our bed. We'll be camping in the near future and hopefully they'll enjoy their new sleeping quarters. https://i.imgur.com/a7Ig76Nl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Uf4rz6Ql.jpg BTW, It was with great difficulty lifting the mattress to gain access under the bed so I installed a 12v power lift actuator. Now with a flip of a switch it raises or lower the mattress. https://i.imgur.com/f7rtT6ul.jpg

RE: New vehicle - MSRP?

Spoke to a friend who's looking to buy a 4wd Denali pickup who said none available locally and the ones when searching on line are listed way above MSRP. When he asked why the mark-up he was told, "Because we can". I'll stick with my 11 yr old vehicle with 65k miles, thank you.

RE: To buy a generator or not...

Consider the weight on a Honda eu3000w or a Predator 3500. Are you able to lift it by yourself and where do you carry it? Those two factors had me sell my Honda 3k and bought two 2000w generators. I use a parallel cord to run both for my AC but 90% of the time one is only needed for appliances and lights. Each weighs about 50 lbs vs 100+ lbs on the Honda or Predator. I stow them inside the trailer when traveling. Just offering another side of the coin.

RE: Question on my Travel-Lite

I purchased my '10 R-Vision 28'OAL last year and so far have had no problems but made several modifications ie swapping analog to digital thermostat, rear carrier, front generator carrier and upgraded the roof AC. I will be changing the manual awning to a Solera power along with the fabric from Tough Top awning. https://i.imgur.com/x0t1TYBl.jpg

RE: Thank Heavens for Our Motorhome

Several years ago had massive fire that knocked down PG&E lines and we had no power for 4 days. That's when I had eu3k Honda that I hooked up an extension cord to the house for the Fridge, lamps and TV. Since then I installed a transfer switch and replaced the Honda with a Predator. Fortunately I haven't had power outage since but am ready.
