RE: We all use different ways.

JaxDad,
So sad that the (thankfully now x-wife) was upset over the pending death of her mother and was probably out of sorts with her manners, but happy for you that you got a new friend. Hopefully the 'now x-wife' has a new friend too.

RE: Covid in RV Parks

I'm a retired crisis counselor who worked in high-risk environments. I retired two days before Covid. I was surprised and upset by the general public's attitude towards their personal health and lack of concern for others, including their own families. I am not so surprised now, but do need to monitor my own thoughts and feelings. Times have changed.

RE: Covid in RV Parks

Walaby: You ask "What would I have the park do?" What I would have them do is simple. The owner of the park has a great deal to say about what goes on in his/her park. They have rules and regulations for the recreation areas (pools, etc), how late at night noise can go on, when you can and can't use facilities and on and on. These are not places where people can do anything they want. This guy's diagnosis came from him. I have worked my entire life where confidentiality was primary. All the owner has to do is say that a resident has Covid, please use your common sense. This is not exposing the person, but it is giving residents a 'heads-up'. So, that's what I'd have the park do. Nothing complicated or intrusive. Something that reminds people to think safety for themselves and others. And a reminder to the guy to think safety as well.

RE: Covid in RV Parks

Thanks for all the responses. I'm wiser today. I didn't realize so many people who are vaccinated and boosted have gotten Covid. This is just a small sample here. I do take precautions and will continue my journey.

RE: Covid in RV Parks

Janss, I would not be out walking around either if I was sick. There were several of us (4-5) sitting around talking when the owner said that this guy had covid. I said, "You let him walk around exposing people and don't share that with us?" Not worth arguing over. But, I was surprised. Won't be next time.
Thanks for your feedback. Have a good day,

RE: Covid in RV Parks

Thank you - all of you!!! I'm an 80 yr old female and really do like living. Plan to go to 100, at least. I appreciate the feed-back.(get well 44 year old) You all have helped me get a better perspective. This covid person walking around in the RV park caught me off guard. I have been feeling pretty safe - maybe too safe. I do continue to wear the mask inside buildings, etc., (I know it protects others and not me, but psychologically I think it also protects me) wash my hands and stay a distance from people. As you say, "one million + dead and numbers rising again". I resent the deniers - have to admit that. Thanks again. Shadowcat.

Covid in RV Parks

I have a question about Covid. Hope this is the place to ask it. I'm a SR citizen, new to full-time rving. I am in a small RV Park in NM and yesterday the owner said a full-time rver had Covid. This guy was walking around talking to people as if he had the flu. And this is what people sitting around talking think about Covid, that it is just another flu. I don't share that theory and have had my vaccinations plus my booster. I'm older and have done what I could to keep myself safe as well as others around me. For some this situation may not be a problem, but if you have encountered this in your travels what have you done? I am leaving in two weeks so will stay here and keep to myself til I leave. I did not anticipate this as I thought RV Parks followed specific rules regarding health concerns.
Thanks for any answers. Shadowcat
