RE: Need a device

You don't say what kind of "kit" you have, but on my Roadmaster system, once you install the led on your dash, it's only one wire that needs to be connected at the hitch.

RE: Visiting Mount St Helens in Washington

I don't see anything on WSDOT about Hwy 504 being closed. Yes, the visitor centers are closed, but you are going to see the mountain. You should still be able to drive to the parking/viewpoint at Johnston Ridge. If you go, choose 504 over 503. The crater view is at Johnston Ridge. My opinion is only go if the weather is cooperating. It needs to be clear weather all the way to the top of the mountain. It's not worth going if the only thing you can see is clouds. P.S. I'm planning on a trip in the next few weeks to Windy Ridge on the East side of the crater.

RE: Utah, Highway 12 Advice

Awesome road! As already mentioned, not for the faint of heart. But the views are incredible. It is a high pass, pay attention to the weather forecast.

RE: Lost continuity between battery and starter solenoid

My generator sometimes has a dirty connection where the battery cable lug connects at the generator starter solenoid. Literally just took a tap on the lug to move it enough that it had connection again.

RE: Should I connect my sewer line when camping?

I have been warned at one campground that if I left my hose connected, that the ravens/crows would rip holes in the hose looking for food particles.

RE: Devil's canyon UT

At least you got a response where they say they will fix it. The response I received (for a different problem) was "If this is incorrect information I have left you a phone number to them below so that you can let them know and they can then fix the issue." In other words, they expect me to make the call for them.

RE: Devil's canyon UT

Also, you can check out the site photos. Once again, it looks like you are correct, and the map is wrong. Campsite photos

RE: Devil's canyon UT

First off - The "new" recreation.gov maps are a joke. Usually fairly worthless. It's pure luck if they even follow the roads in the campground. Try this link, then scroll down to the photo section. There is a photo of the campground map sign. Devil's Canyon Looks like you are correct that the map is wrong.

RE: Dash camera recommendations

I have two of the Viofo/SpyTec A119. One in the car, one in the RV. Viofo is the OEM manufacturer. Spytec sells them under their name. Same thing.
