RE: Little red Honda pellet grill

The Green Mountain Grill Trek pellet grill runs DC instead of AC. Very low power usage, even on long cooks. A Green Mountain Davey Crockett will run on DC so no need for a generator there the same gril, new naming structure for GMG. Steve They got smart and got rid of the spring legs.

RE: Little red Honda pellet grill

Pellet grill can be hooked to a 12v battery. One can run the generator later or at anytime to recharge battery if really concerned about it.

RE: RV plywood cleaning stains and repair

Sounds like a lot of you don't realize what the carpenters that built your house did/spilled on the subfloor before putting the flooring down. BTW, go with a vinyl plank and you will be very happy.

RE: 6 or 12 That is the question

The fact that the unit has solar indicates the intention to dry camp. In that scenario, it is all about amp hour capacity. 2 - Group 29 or 31 deep cycles are going to be right around 100 amp hours each. That should be compared to the amp hour rating of a single 6V battery.

RE: New 4" heavy duty bumper cannot fit Rhino drain hose inside

PVC pipe only carries 1 section of pipe. We routinely have to use more than one section to reach the sewer connection. I use a large Rhino storage tub.

RE: open, screen emergency exit window for ventilation?

I've used the emergency exit window for ventilation from day one with no screen. There have been no issues or insects that have made me think that one is necessary.

RE: If you can't decide if you want an RV or a boat

BOAT— Break Out Another Thousand And has been worth every penny to me. My RV is a place to eat and sleep, the boat is central to my hobby.

50 gallon plastic barrel or garbage can cut in half and coiled in the bottom.

Ceiling AC Grilles - Need Covers

Has anyone seen anything that would function as a diffuser cover for my 5” diameter ceiling diffusers?

RE: Convection oven exhaust?

I am 100% behind using the bbq and smoker but if I'm grilling burgers, give me the secret to baking the french fries cuz burgers aren't burgers without the fries and onion rings.

RE: Convection oven exhaust?

Many of the new units do not have a thru wall vent. The microwave just filters the air and redistributes it inside the rv. We bought a larger conv/toaster oven and set it up outside when we camp in hot locations. Keeps all the extra heat out of the TT. Not a bad idea. Just one more thing to store but standing outside in the heat and cooking has to be better than standing in the hot trailer cooking. Lol

RE: Convection oven exhaust?

Is the stove under the cook top? If it is. Turn on the exhaust vent fan. They exhaust fan just seems to filter but also blows back into the space but the convection oven is part of the microwave. I don’t think the trailer has any outside exhaust.

Convection oven exhaust?

My trailer AC already has a difficult time keeping up with the heat but the convection oven dumping all the hot fan exhaust into the cabin makes it particularly rough and doesn't make sense to me. Is this what it is supposed to do?

RE: Bonehead Blunder, I'm an idiot!

Last weekend I unhitched everything, or so I thought, and proceeded to rip the emergency brake cable off.

RE: 2nd AC size

P.S. - a big unit for a small space equals a lot of short cycles which isn't good.

RE: 2nd AC size

Thanks all! The unit is pre-wired for electric but not ducting. Should have mentioned that originally. So it would be a direct vent for the second. We have a front bathroom which currently has a vent and the bedroom has a vent. The factory vents can only be aimed not closed. So I intend to replace those with vents that can be closed helping cool the main living space and the bunk room more and then open all when we are on 30amp and can only run a single. Most of our camping is <90 F but being east coast it is often very humid. Anyway, sounds like most would for 15k for the bedroom. Maybe I add a box fan during the day to blow bedroom air out into the living space to help. Thanks again all! If it is just for the bedroom, a polar cub 9 or 11 would be more than enough and possibly quiet enough to sleep with while running.
