RE: Best floor plan for 6 sleepers

Thank you, here are our 6 sleeper details Two 50+ Adults (who would like privacy at bed time. Wink wink) 1 - 16 year old boy who always brings a friend 1- 14 year old girl who always brings a friend Have heard there is NO privacy with bunks. We have a very similar situation, with our 15yo boy and 13yo daughter who more often than not want to bring friends camping with us. The boy(s) do sometimes sleep outside in a tent, but when the weather is bad enough they sleep inside. The boy(s) usually end sharing the overhead bunk, and the girl(s) usually end up on the pull-out sofa, which allows all of them to hang out and do what kids do. The wife and I pull the "privacy" door shut on our bedroom and it works out just fine for us. The bunks are very rarely used for sleeping, more often than not they are just a great place for storage bins and the friends duffel bags.

RE: F53 suspension upgrades

I have done the CHF (both front and rear) and tuned the tire pressures based on actual loaded corner weights. It made a notable difference, but it still wants to dart in gusty winds, and also has a tendency to lean to the passenger side. I am debating between Sumo springs and air bags... The airbag route seems to be a little less expensive depending of course on the compressor setup, but I like the idea of no maintenance with the Sumos. I know exactly what and how an airbag setup will perform, but I've never run Sumos so I'm a little nervous to spend the money on them? Anyone have a direct comparison story?

Airbag Inflation Systems

I've had several trucks with suspension airbags over the years, and my last two setups used the wireless systems which were a nice "upgrade" in terms of the installation. For this truck I'm considering an automatic leveling setup, such as the Airlift Smart Air system, for what could be the ultimate in a lazy man's dream setup... Anyone have an aftermarket auto-leveling setup and mind sharing their thoughts on it after putting it in service? My primary concern is whether or not the system and I would agree on what pressure the bags should settle at, trying to balance ride height and ride quality. My understanding is the system will add/subtract air to keep the rear of the truck in the target zone for height, and I'm a little leery of having it try to stuff 40psi in the bags when maybe 20 would suffice and give a much better ride? Am I overthinking it? Appreciate any input.

RE: Taaadaaa! Took the plunge. Airbags on the Class A

What made you go with airbags over something like the Sumo springs? I'm debating between them and only have direct experience with air bags.
